Again the blame all comes down to Fox. Wasn't it their idea to kill off scott and jean, not the writers? It wasn't the writer's fault but what else could they do? Get fired and have someone to write the script, knowing that- that someone would be treated the same way Fox treated Kinberg and Penn? If they did got fired, I don't think they wanted to see the "new" writer in the same position they got themselves in. They did their best at what Fox wanted X3 to be, not what the writers wanted X3 to be and I'm sure Ratner would feel the same with the writers if these "ideas" weren't Fox's, but if the writer's had more control of writing the script and what X3 should have been, Ratner would have made X3 better than the first two.
Keep in mind, there are some things I didn't like what I saw in X3 and they were only little things I didn't like but it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the film. Sure, I admit, there was some bad writting but if that so called bad writting was expanded a little more in depth and as well regarding character development, it would have been better but thank Fox for screwing up the script and the writer's input.
X3 was great, but needless to say, it could have been better if Fox didn't go out their way of saying "Scott has to die if you want him to be in this one," "Phoenix has to die if you want her to be in this one," "Wolverine has to be to be one to kill Phoenix," and so on. lol But once again, regardless, they think its all about Wolverine. I know I'm not the only one who's feeling this way. Please, whoever you are, just say so! Fox has been so busy shoving their hands down Wolverine's pants with money that they forgot about the other X-Men and their character developments.
But, my love for X-Men will continue as long as theres an X4 and Scott gets the spotlight and role he deserves. I will fight! I will fight for Scott and Jean! and by doing that, I'm using my - myspace page to help promote the two X-Men, not that it'll get the word out there, but to get the Cyclops fans together.
