this week SR comes out and i finally get to see it looking forward to James more then then Superman lol.

he was the only thing good about Superman but the rest of film lagged in between his scenes, which he shined. so basically, what Im saying is, its not that great.

Good afternoon peoples.....What's happening? Have I missed anything exciting?

is it possible for someone to be too quick to judge a person when they only briefly met them twice but on both separate times, they thought that person was a b****?

If you thought they wer a b**** both times, then they probably are one, lol. I like to think I'm a fairly good judge of people, and my first impressions are usually right.

Edit: Just read your psot in the Jean/Phoenix thread...Uh, Famke's not a B****. It's impossible :)

Finally got a poster and movie centered on him...It seems that kind of movie to stimulate deep thoughts from people, I'm sure it'll be a good one.

So I was on the Xverse and I read from Radiant's post that it was Fox's idea to have Scott DIE! The writers tried their best to not have him die, so in spite of all the bulls***, it sounds like they wanted Scott to have a bigger role and James did say he wished he was part of the final battle- wished he had more to do, but Fox demanded if the writers want Cyclops in x3, he must die. Well all I can say is that Fox did a pretty bang up job. and the same goes with Jean/Phoenix. Simon fought hard to get her back in X3.

So in this case, whom can you blame? Forget Ratner, forget the writers, Blame Fox and Tom Rothman.

It's been known for a while, it was discussed and debated in the other threads here too. In the end, blame goes to a combination for them all. FOX for wanting not to have Scott or Jean, the writers fighting to keep them in, FOX demanding that they die, and the writers and directors giving them vague, implied "deaths". Either way the final result was not appropriate to the characters, sloppy and shallow, and unacceptable to alot of people.

Please tell me you're not buying this BS? The blame still lies on Ratner, the writers, Fox, and Rothman.

All Kinberg and Penn had to do was be honest from the start. Instead they sent out lies, empty promises, and 100% hype. "Cyclops fans will not be disappointed".

That right there is a lie told by them. So no, they don't get any sympathy from me.

why is it that everyone wants to redeem the writers of this crap?

Again the blame all comes down to Fox. Wasn't it their idea to kill off scott and jean, not the writers? It wasn't the writer's fault but what else could they do? Get fired and have someone to write the script, knowing that- that someone would be treated the same way Fox treated Kinberg and Penn? If they did got fired, I don't think they wanted to see the "new" writer in the same position they got themselves in. They did their best at what Fox wanted X3 to be, not what the writers wanted X3 to be and I'm sure Ratner would feel the same with the writers if these "ideas" weren't Fox's, but if the writer's had more control of writing the script and what X3 should have been, Ratner would have made X3 better than the first two.

Keep in mind, there are some things I didn't like what I saw in X3 and they were only little things I didn't like but it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the film. Sure, I admit, there was some bad writting but if that so called bad writting was expanded a little more in depth and as well regarding character development, it would have been better but thank Fox for screwing up the script and the writer's input.

X3 was great, but needless to say, it could have been better if Fox didn't go out their way of saying "Scott has to die if you want him to be in this one," "Phoenix has to die if you want her to be in this one," "Wolverine has to be to be one to kill Phoenix," and so on. lol But once again, regardless, they think its all about Wolverine. I know I'm not the only one who's feeling this way. Please, whoever you are, just say so! Fox has been so busy shoving their hands down Wolverine's pants with money that they forgot about the other X-Men and their character developments.

But, my love for X-Men will continue as long as theres an X4 and Scott gets the spotlight and role he deserves. I will fight! I will fight for Scott and Jean! and by doing that, I'm using my - myspace page to help promote the two X-Men, not that it'll get the word out there, but to get the Cyclops fans together.

i think you guys better dont get your hopes too high...the higher is the flight, the bigger is the fall. If there's an X4 and Wolverine is in it, unless Fox changes a lot, and i mean A LOT, Wolverine will be the center as always...and even if Cyke comes back (which i think is hard), he will probably be relegated to the corner once more. For once we have to understand these movies arent made for fans, we arent even 10% of the audience (though this is not an excuse, since the first two werent made for fans but still were wonderful movies)...

Once again, and I've said it many times, I wasn't AROUND that time when production started on the movie. I never said I'm buying the BS but it makes sense. Fox Told the Writers what to do and they did just that. After reading every mother f***ing post of "Cyclops this" and "Cyclops that" I understood what was happening only that I came into the game late. Was I happy with the way Cyclops was handled? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

why is it that everyone wants to redeem the writers of this crap?

I'm not trying to redeem them, I'm just saying.but once again, its just the matter of opinion of what one thinks regardless of what really happened behind production.

Since I came to the game late, you want my opinion, That and my other post is my opinion.

But understand this, all you Cyclops fans who were upset about his role and lack of screentime, Im with you 100% all the way.
