Cyclops joins movie musical

Dying by the hand of your super-powered lover is easy. Especially when you do it off-screen. Now it’s time to find out if X-Men’s James Marsden can sing and dance.

The man formerly known as Cyclops has been added to what can only be described as the sprawling Hairspray cast. He’ll play Corny Collins, the host and dreamboat star of the dance TV show that our heroine, Tracy Turnblad, dreams of appearing on. Let's hope Wolverine's been giving him song and dance lessons.

You know the rest – John Travolta in a dress, Queen Latifah, Adam Shankman directing, release date set for summer next year…

Suddenly, horrifyingimages came crashing back to her. She started to tremble. "Oh, no!" She Shreiked " I couldn't have..."

"Tell me" Wolverine said.

"I killed him" she whispered. "I didn't mean to. But my power... was too much for him."

Wow... He can sing + dance?

Someone on the Broadway message board said they heard him sing when he made a guest appearance on the TV show Ally McBeal a few years ago and he was pretty good.

Everyone is doing these Broadway musicals except the Tony Award winning one (Hugh of course)!!! I know he's got some in the pipeline but I have no patience.

Who's Betty Brant?

I love that movie... it's one of my favourites. And it was hardly a makeout -- there was no tongue.


ETA: nm, just remembered that Elizabeth Banks plays Brant in Spidey.

I think he really loved her. And it wasn't quite denial... I think the film tried to emphasize how they were best friends. We don't really ever see them being physical in a couply way, (except for the one aborted time when she has Alex's jacket and I'm assuming he's reminded of him... or he's just trying to distract her?) but they can talk, she relies on his support, etc. So he loves her as a best friend, but maybe not like he would fall in love with Alex (if that's his name, I forget already)
