I didn't think the other two movies did a very good job showing there love. It put Cyclops in a negative light and focused heavily on Wolverine/Jean. He wasn't even a secondary character in X2 and X3 followed suit. The fact that he was the first person Jean contacted in X3 and how happy she looked when she hugged him shed more light into their relationship than a deleted hand holding scene in X1.

Whoa..Whoa..what are you talking about.....Did you see how he was when Jean died???....Negative light..What???...are you kiddin me....what negative light are you talking about...you seriously need to rewatch those movies...He was a secondary character in X2 but his presence was still felt..why did jean walk away from the kiss??..Did you look at the lover quarrel Fight scene?? FYI each of the first two movies put alot of Closure and solitified their relationship...Wolverine came after her and who did she feel better with...even Brian Singer said it in in the commentary at the end of X2 every back to normal when Wolverine said she did make a choice....X3 the fact that he was the first to see jean..did actually know he was Pheonix first Victim??.....who was Pursuing jean the entire movie that made you able to say their relationship had more light than the first two movies???..It wasn't Cyclops...

It didn't seem like Jean ended the kiss, she just kind of spoke. She asked Logan to not make her do this. She didn't say "i don't want to do this" or "Stop it" it sounded like she would have went on with it, if Logan made her. And the kiss was quite long, if she loved Scott so much she would have backed off and ran away, desgusted with logan. The choice was good. And I loved the part after Scott attacked Jean, but it was the first time we actually do see their love. And her sacrifice scene - she should have said something specifically to Scott - she was about to leave him after all, but didn't really mention him.

In X1 they barely even talked, and when they did it wasn't very affectionate. The truth is that none of the movies showed how much they loved each other, I just got a stronger feeling of love in the beggining of X3. I agree though, it should have been Scott persueing Jean, but did Jean ever say she loved Logan? No. Her strong love for Scott is what sent her spiraling in X3, that showed that he meant alot to her.

Maybe it's just me and maybe it's the childish side of me, but how can anyone watch this without getting angry/bitter?

I guess you have to see the good side of things. So long as this scene lasts, it shows them both in a positive light. The fact that the scene ends so suddenly like the camera just runs out of film instead of showing something truly controversial, like Cyke being reduced to a pile of ash is a good thing. The more vague it is, the more opportunities it gives us to fix things. It's ok if this scene doesn't work out in Cyke's favor or if something goes wrong. As long as he has the opportunity to clean up the mess towards the end of the movie. Once he does, that only makes the final victory even sweeter, don't you think? If he's hugging her tightly now, imagine how much more tight that hug will be at Alcatraz. And that, is something to look forward to...

Barely talk yes..My room with Scott down the hall..did you miss that...Did the Audience know that Cyclops loved Jean or was he just her first Victim in X3..?? we know logan loved her and Cyclops was the Guy with red glasses that died....Trust me you can look around it all you want but X3 was a Tragic love story between logan and jean....Did she say I love you back? why would she said that if she getting prepared to die?.....Logan screaming Nooo holding the woman he loved shed way more light on their relationship of Jean/Scoot than in the other two movies ...Enjoy it my friend

I meant just that one scene, not the whole movie in general.

We clearly know that Scott loves Jean. But it seemed that Jean didn't love Scott as much. She shouldn't have been as conflicted as she was.

We do. And for those who need help with their imagination or can't imagine what happens next, there are plenty of rewrites and fanfics. And for those who can't imagine words, there are a couple of graphic illustrations too. We'll be posting one in a few days here that should give a bit more...fulfilling and emotional conclusion

Oh, anyone thought the part Prof. X said to Storm "Scott is a changed person...he took Jean's death too hard." was weird? I thought that was the most stupid thing I could imagine Xavier would ever say about a man he relied on for a long time to fulfill his dreams....that was one line of Prof.X's so out of his character....like mourning over your lost love is actually a bad and unnecessary idea.

Too hard, eh? So what's the proper way to take someone's death? Throw the body into the ground, bury it, toss their things away and move on? Never mind you keep hearing her calling out to you every night. Maybe he should be more like Logan. "Maybe it's time we both moved on..."

He seemed to say alot of other dumb things in this movie too. Then again, notice how most people didn't seem to care about Cyclops in this movie. Hell, only Jean seemed to show any real emotions for him. No one was even upset that he was presumed dead. Heck, he didn't even get a grave or memorial service even after Charles died. What gives? These people must be real savages...

when the fight between them was over they had a nice hug "I love you " "I missed you so much"...she already lost him and the professor and only she had to power to save all of them.... she did say Im sorry this is the only way using the professor
