I have NO idea what Wheeljack looks like in the movie... but... Why doesn't he look like this?

Also... Why was it hard to get the name "Wheeljack"?

Hasbro just released a new Wheeljack toy. Wheeljack just appeared on Transformers: Prime. He's CREDITED as Que/Wheeljack in the movie even though he's only referred to as Que in one instance. So what is the legal issue of Wheeljack?

The movie is different.
For Example.
Mattel owns the ferrari brand, and in the movies(and much to fanboy approval) that's a real ferrari. I skimmed through the statment, I honestly didn't pay attention due to have little this affects me.

Wheeljack looks like a scientest/inventor. I can see why they did it. They do like to take the personalities too far in the looks sometimes.

That fanmade Wheeljack pic looks cool and more G1 but he still looks like a Bayformer. I personally dont mind most the designs in the films.

Yes, it does... which I'm fine with. It still has his "classic" look to him all the while fitting it with Bay's "look." I actually don't mind the design of Optimus, Ironhide, Ratchet or even Bumblebee.... They still remind me enough of their classic looks.

That fan design actually looks like bumblebee and sideways combined.

Honestly, the issue came out like a month ago and I wasn't around to read about it. I heard second hand so I'm not ready to really elaborate. I just gave you the base work, if you care about not looking like a mindless fan I'd say give it a look...or not.

Agreed. I havnt really seen Wheeljack/Q in DOTM except for that pic, so far hes my least favorite looking.

I don't buy the legal issues. For starters, Tom DeSanto debugged the whole beetle car thing with Bumblebee. Tom DeSanto in Wizard magazine straight up said, Michael Bay wanted a camaro instead of a beetle.

Really? The "Volkswagen didn't want Bumblebee as a Beetle in the films because our film is to violent" thing was a BS Line?

...I'm not really shocked to find that out...

I honestly DON'T care about that... I don't, in anyway, shape or form expect these movies to be G1 clones. I'm a G1 fan, I grew up watching the cartoons every Saturday. I would record them and rewatch them over and over...

However, now... I can barely watch them anymore because they're just... "dumb." I'm glad that those shows introduced me to a world that became far more than an extended toy commercial but I don't put the show on a pedestal.

Now... the G1 (and pre G1) related comics? That's another story.

Ferrari was the problem with licensing I believe, it was said they named him Dino after the son of the Ferrari Founder. The DOTM toys, game, comic and Novel all have him labeled as Mirage. I dont think hes even a Ferrari for his the toy. They never said for sure if it was the case for Wheeljack. But like Mirage/Dino he is called Wheeljack in everything else merch wise. Dont even think they released toys for him. So may have been the same thing. Dont know 100%.

Chris says the parents have little more than a cameo early in the film. Considering how much groaning I've heard about their presence in this film I wonder what's really going down.

yeah it was really only a cameo, 2 scenes maybe all based around their holiday truck and sam getting a job/gf

there was one slightly funny part with them, but they didnt get much screentime at all.

I simply say, look into it, for I fear you may come off sounding like a fan boy with his fingers in his ears, I couldn't care less either way if you think they should have went with one name or the other. It doesn't even look like the character so as a fan boy you should be rejoicing.

The First movie, if you didn't notice is all GM cars, this is the first installment to branch out and feature non GM cars as heroes or characters. I know they tried something with sideway's in TF2 but that was after the fact.

Volkswagon beetle isn't GM.

I don’t hate Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It’s no Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, for one. And about twelve hours after seeing it the movie has begun completely evaporating from my mind. But I don’t understand how anyone can actually like the movie, and it’s hard for me to tell you it’s worth any of your time. I want to be flip and say you should buy a ticket for something else and sneak into Dark of the Moon at the film’s 90 minute mark, but I can’t even recommend that. And who am I kidding anyway – this is a movie of inevitable badness that you will inevitably see.

Then there’s Optimus Prime. Why are we supposed to like this guy anyway? He’s a ****** leader – he spends half the film moping about his mistakes, and I personally blame him completely for the destruction of Chicago – and he’s **** in a fight. Once again he gets his ass handed to him in this movie. The only thing Prime is any good at is delivering semi-sensical platitudes. Honestly, **** this character.

Thats some bs, Optimus wrecks everyone. He hands each decipticon their ass in each movie.

wow there is so much anger in some of these I sort of get tired. Sort of, i like anger as an emotion for the most part, but negativity yeah that **** brings me down.

He seed to think that it made no sense for a ROBOT to have such a thing and I objectively deconstructed his point by way of consistency. Why now? Why is it ok for Robot aliens to have a bunch of needless human parts but once hair design is introduced it makes no sense?

again as i stated, and "Vileone" you can correct me if i misread you wrong....he is stating NOT THAT A robot cant have, but why does TRANSFORMERS need to have, if they do not have them any other place else in the source material. Simple as that.

Secondly, the design construction is amazing...but that's my opinion
funny how that works.

and lastly..unless i'm wrong, your opinion I never thought other posters had an issue with (including me), but YOUR opinion on others who dislike the film or have something negitative to say about the whole franchise in general is what some seem to wonder about.

I like Faraci, but he spends most of that review singling out the very aspects even the negative reviews say the film does well...pretty much his usual style.
After all the verbal fights he got into with his colleagues leading up to the release, i'm not really surprised. I do think he does present some interesting points though.
