See, this is why I can't respect a lot of Transformers fans. You're complaining about tertiary characters and whether or not they have dialogue?!? Do some of you actually think before you complain about something?

agreed....if you had legitimate complaints with the movie is one thing....but complaining because a character isnt like its cartoon self (and considering that not one of the robots were like its cartoon self in either of the other movies) is pretty foolish.
Its like me expecting a cloth Batsuit in TDKR after we had two movies of rubber suits

Because there's no reason for it and it happens across all three movies. I know *why* he does it (for dramatic effect) but that reason is greatly diminished when it's constantly used.

See, your original complaint was just that the character had dialogue in the first place. You said nothing about the quality of the dialogue, which I have to say I disagree with you on about it being cringe-worthy. I actually thought it was just fine, and actually made the character that much creepier and threatening.

Laserbeak shouldn't talk, IMO. However, if he *has* to talk, can it be something that doesn't make me roll my eyes? "Where's mommy?"

See, that is nitpicking! Last time I checked, this was combat! And why should anything he says detract from the fact that he's still killing the mess outta Decepticons, which you have no problem with! Your logic is based on the idea that you can kill as many enemies as you want, just don't talk about it?

Nitpicking? It's nitpicking to point out that Prime's character was completely abandoned in favor of some psychopath? Nitpicking is the favorite cry of the apologists. Sometimes bad movies happen. Sometimes characters are portrayed poorly. That is the case with this movie. Like I said to someone else, what happened in DOTM is essentially the same as Batman ripping Ra's Al Ghul's throat out at the end of BB instead of letting him die in the crash. It would be completely out of character. The novelization had Prime letting Megatron and all of the Decepticons go back to Cybertron, right? THAT is something OP would do.

No, Devastator got taken out by a railgun shot from an aircraft carrier. The twins shot at Devastator, distracting him for a brief moment, and that whole exchange ended in one twin shooting the other one in the face! At least Brains served as an intelligence component in one scene, and could actually provide the humans with some degree of useful information. Not to mention even Wheelie in the second film was the one who knew anything about the language of the Primes and seekers, and led Sam and the others to Jetfire in the first place.

And I'm sorry, but killing Megaton was totally justified. Obviously this man's got contingency plans out the ass that involve destroying Earth and humanity, and I'm not going to fault Optimus for thinking, "Yeah, this dude's used up all his three strikes, and now he's out!"

Longer review later but I would've thought this was the best of the bunch, just based on the tone of the second half of the picture...if the film wouldn't have essentially retconned the first two films.

Trying to understand the mythology of these films is technically irrelevant, but it's pretty bad here.

Megatron's ultimate plan makes absolutely no sense, if you go by his and the Fallen's plan from the second film.

This film wants us to understand that Megatron, as working for the Fallen to find the All Spark, like the rest of the Seekers, so he and the Fallen could find the location of the Matrix of Leadership in order to reactivate the Sun Harvester to destroy our Sun for it's energy to help rebuild Cybertron.

But, before he's sent with the rest of the Seekers, he makes an alliance with Sentinel Prime to bring Cybertron to Earth and make the inhabitants of Earth their slaves in order to rebuild Cybertron.

Bull****.

And don't even let me get into the situation with Carly and how she works in this film. Clearly, the part was written for Mikaela because a lot of her dialogue is suppose to be emotional support for Sam. Problem? She hasn't been through the **** with Sam. Michael Bay and Ehren Krueger totally cluster**** Sam and Mikaela's entire storyline from the first two films by how they handle Sam's arc in this film.

Megatron comes to Earth to find the allspark and matrix to get energy for Cybertron. He also wants to bring Cybertron to Earth to use humans as their slaves. How is that confusing???

Also, Megs is a double crosser. He would have double crossed one or both to his advantage.

not everyone is gonna like the things that are done in this world. Accept it, respect it and stop trying to come from a stand point that if anyone shares a different opinion then your own, that they are whats' wrong with this world....

have not seen it yet, plan on it today, and probably will feel the same way about part 3 as i felt about the last two.

It's the same with every movie. People will find dumb stuff to complain about because they want it to be exactly like the comics/cartoons/novel. People complained about Joker not being permawhite in TDK. People complained about Doc Ock having a wife in Spider-Man 2. People complained about Jarvis being a robot and not a human in Iron Man. That's dumb.

nope thats not what I said.If you had taken the time to read what i said instead of jerking the knee you'd see I made the same statement you did. If people dont like the movie thats fine. People want to argue that the humans were the focus again...to me thats a legitimate complaint.
However complaining that a character isnt like his G1 counterpart IMO is not a legitimate complaint.

No we are not. I liked this movie but it has flaws. If people point out the flaws I find that a legitimite complaint. There is a lot of people in here complaining about the movie. Im not addressing them.
However complained that a character isnt like the comics/cartoon is not a legitimite complaint.

Weak movie, but still far better than the second one.

They toned down the sex references and the stupid humour...but its still there to some degree.

The action was nice, the story was dumb as usual and the humans take center stage...again.

Either tied with the first one, or second best of the series.

Glad Bay is done. On to a more serious reboot now!

says who? Maybe to that person, they are a big fan of that version and want to see it on the big screen. There's nothing wrong with that..we are all fans, and we are all fans of many different stuff. If we see something we truely love not interpret the way we wish it was...what is the issue with complaining about it? that's what a fan is all about, that's what fans do in any genre of entertainment....it is what it is...you not liking that part of it, it's not gonna change things. You're just gonna have to deal with it. You liked the movie, that's all that matters.

Bay made his money, and he still gonna director movies..so there you go, it's a win/win for you.

The moment I say that Laserbeak had dialogue so that is one of the reasons this movie sucks then you can skewer me over an open flame all you want.

It's fine to have legit complaints. I have yet to see the movie so I can't directly comment on all of your script complaints. But, when someone starts whining about a faceplate on Optimus, Laserbeak talking, Bumblebee not speaking, etc. then imo it's nothing more than purist fanboy dribble.

It happens in every movie.

this is the THIRD FRAKKIN MOVIE. The first two didnt follow G1 closely...why would you expect this one to. Would I have a legitimite beef if I blast TDKR because Bale's Batman didnt act like Adam West's...even though he didnt act that way in the previous movies???
