emm now to me this makes sense, but apparently to some posters, you are not making sense. You just dont understand Bays vision.:whatever:

Haha I think I understand it. He wants a Military comedy. Doesnt give a **** about the autobots side of things. Someone mentioned (I think Marvin) he would have been a good choice as Director for Battle For LA. That flick could have actually used a director like Bay.

Wow, what a hilarious piece of crap.

A few dumb questions:

Why was almost every human character insane?
Why would the humans deport their alleged only means of defence?
Why did Starscream lose a hand-to-hand battle with Shia LaBeouf?
Why would Rose's character decide to walk up to Megatron - alone, no less - and call him a ***** to his face?
Why did Megatron literally sit on the ground for the entire final battle?
Why did Megatron die from a single blow?
Why was there an Albert Einstein transformer?
Why were the humans more effective in the finale than the Autobots?
Why was Optimus tangled in cables for 20 minutes?
Why was the Decepticon ship brought down single-handedly by Beavis-bot and Buscemi-bot? (Now that's pod-racing!)

Yes, I recognize there are simple answers to some of these questions. That said, they still aren't very good answers.

I really don't understand why Transformers fans like these movies. It's quite clear Michael Bay has next to zero interest in them.

Im still wondering why Bumblebee still cant talk....its been, what? several years now? Really Autobots? REALLY?

Because he's not as cool with a voice. He will have no personality. He's way more interesting when he's using the radio. Makes him cuter, and cooler.

So...no actual reason. Gotcha. :)

Though, one simply must love Megatron napping during the end battle. Especially when he peaks out from behind his hood and seems to be all, "wha? Huh? We havent taken the planet yet?"

His exchange with Carly was classic too:

"You're Sentinel's *****!"
"Oh how I loath you, slave...but dammit! I RESPECT YOU. Brb!"

Why is Sam apparently a schizophrenic?

One more:

Why does Sentinel Prime refuse the Matrix of Leadership? It might have come in handy later, as it can RESURRECT DEAD TRANSFORMERS!

Wouldnt you be emotionally frantic if you saved the world twice, and you STILL had to do job searches? I would be.

Because he's not worthy...since he's a traitor.

Yes, because "not being worthy" usually stops movie villains from making a grab at unstoppable power. What's more, the film itself doesn't exactly provide any good evidence for his decision.

Well...the second movie, dispite being what it was, did explain it. Kinda. Sam went to grab the Matrix, and it turned to dust. He then retrieved it when he was deemed worthy. All that jazz.

They talked about it in the commentary.

Celtic, just stop. The plot can't logically be defended. I understand defending it for the action set pieces, but not the "story". You liked it because there was cool **** to ogle at at. Nothing more, nothing less.

So does Bay think the world is nothing but full of crazy social paths to have those types of characters in this movie ? Wow I have never seen a movie with so many annoying characters that Megan Fox not being there did not bother me one bit

I dug the movie but am disappointed by the fact that Shockwave took a backseat for as long as he did and am disappointed about how you couldn't make sense of what he said whenever it seemed as if he was talking. Another thing I don't like is how easily Wheelie and Brain or whatever his name is stopped the Decepticon ships so damn easily, it should have been slightly challenging for them, at least. Oh and I still prefer Fox's character but Rosie's character was alright. I also wish that Soundwave was on screen some more. The dialog disappointed me, for the most part too much good dialog was left to be desired when it came to team Transformers. Lastly and imo, the movie had too much humor, however that is a small gripe to me. Oh and I thought that Lazerbeak was awesome. I thought that it was really sad to see 'Q' go, I didn't really give a **** about Ironhide dying. Don't get me wrong, I have always dug him in the movies but can easily do without his existing in them. And what the hell? Megatron was chilling out as if he literally woke up from taking a nap.

Lastly, I don't know why some Transformers fans have been praising some of the crappy lines that the Transformers had in DOTM. SOME, not all.

You dug this and GL? I'm seeing a trend here. :awesome:

This is just something I noticed. I don't really mean to go on a rant here but it's just something I wanted to get off my chest. Now Avatar got a free pass from critics, general audiences, and fanboys solely because it had great 3D and visual effects and it was made by James Camron. The plot was a predictable borefest. Take away the 3D and visual effect and it was a pretty meh movie. (don't get me wrong I liked it but still feel it wasn't the greatest story wise).

Now I am not saying Micheal Bay is on the same level as James Camron as a filmmaker (he is not) but I think Avatar was James Camron's weakest movie. Dark of the moon may not have the greatest story, acting, or humor but the action and visuals effects are top notch. It seems the critics and fanboy trash it because its Micheal Bay and they all seem to hate him. That kinda seems unfair in my book. Not sticking up for Bay because I have seen him in some interviews and commentary being very arrogant and *****ebaggy.

I know Avatars plot didn't have plot holes or weak acting but it was boring and predictable. The story is flawed in this movie but in my opinion Sentinel's betrayal was more of a shocker than anything in Avatar's story.

Again not knocking Avatar or saying Bay is a better filmmaker than James.Just voicing my observations.
Everyone knows its cool to hate Michael Bay, but for some reason they keep watching his movies.

So far...

Autobots:

Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime
Judd Nelson as Hotrod
Ron Pearlman as Grimlock
Peter Weller as Ultra Magnus
Darius McCray as Jazz
Kevin Conroy as Bumblebee
Bryan Cranston as Ironhide
Keith David as Omega Supreme
Robert Foxworth as Ratchet

Decepticons:

Hugo Weaving as Megatron
Frank Welker as Soundwave/Shockwave/Ravage
Charles Adler as Starscream
Tony Todd as Unicron
Jess Hernall as Barricade
Mark Hamill as Onslaught
as Rampage
as Vortex
as Hun-Gurrr

James Remar as Sideswipe. I just found out he did the voice in DOTM.

I see you also liked my Ron Perlman/Grimlock suggestion. :woot:

Why was almost every human character insane?

Bay thinks that the audience will think that would be hilarious and to cover up the bad story of this movie.

Why would the humans deport their alleged only means of defence?

Stupid Government is written by Stupid writers.

Why did Starscream lose a hand-to-hand battle with Shia LaBeouf?

Because Bay has no clue who Starscream is and doesn't know how to write who will really win between one human vs. a giant robot.

Why would Rose's character decide to walk up to Megatron - alone, no less - and call him a ***** to his face?

Because Bay thinks that would be cool and thinks the audience will go "Hell's Yeah!!!" :whatever:

Why did Megatron literally sit on the ground for the entire final battle?
Why did Megatron die from a single blow?

Well in ROTF, Megatron really lost lots of his power after his battle with Prime.

Why was there an Albert Einstein transformer?

Since there were no character development for most robots, it would be easier to make him look like Albert Einstein, so Bay doesn't have to explain to audience that that guy was the brains of the Autobots.

Why were the humans more effective in the finale than the Autobots?

They were trained by the Autobots and Bay really has no clue. Plus it's cheaper for humans on green screen than high detailed robot vs. robot action

Why was Optimus tangled in cables for 20 minutes?

Because Bay and his writers really don't care. As long as they provide action people will watch any non-sense.

Why was the Decepticon ship brought down single-handedly by Beavis-bot and Buscemi-bot? (Now that's pod-racing!)

Well the other smaller robot with Wheelie was suppose to be a genius named Brain. But the way those guys were written...Audience really didn't catch it and at the end the audience will not care.

This movie is almost as bad as ROTF. Bay has covered up this piece of sh*** writing, horrible story telling, and corny jokes with Great Visuals, action, a hot girl and explosions.

I'd say it's pretty much on par with ROTF. It just has a better sense of pace.

Except for a few things, I really enjoyed the first Movie greatly. What the hell went wrong after that?
