Official Dishonored Thread

I finally got around to buying this during the Steam sale this week and just finished it on Low Chaos. I really liked the game but I'd have liked to seen more powers that were useful for a no-kill/undetected playstyle. I also didn't really like how the mana bar worked.

I just got this game on PC and immediately stopped playing it as soon as the magic element was introduced. I knew nothing beforehand. It's a shame, really, I hate magic.

Wow, Then you played this wrong then especially since you can play this with out using those powers and they give an achievement for it if you do. since they made this so people can play this in multiple ways as a challenge. BTW I usually don't talk like this at all and I'm not dissing you on it, for doing that. So please don't think that. They gave you the option to approach/ play this how you want, that all I'm just saying.

Yeah, the only magic thing you are forced to do is the blink one.

I'm currently doing a run with only the level one blink. It's pretty different from my usual run as I love my x-ray vision and slow time. :(

Dishonored: The Brigmore Witches DLC ends Daud's story with gang warfare

Arkane Studios will wrap up downloadable content plans for its stealth-action thriller, Dishonored, with the upcoming release of "The Brigmore Witches," a narrative-rich expansion that follows up on April's DLC "The Knife of Dunwall." Despite being a direct continuation of the previous DLC's storyline, The Brigmore Witches forges its own identify, introducing a new set of features for Dishonored's final chapter.

In the final chapter [campaign spoilers ahead], players will once again take on the role of Daud, leader of the Whalers responsible for the assassination of Empress Jessamine. The Brigmore Witches begins with Dishonored's iconic showdown between Daud and Corvo, only this time players are in direct control of Daud's fate. The outcome may play out differently from how players saw the confrontation through Corvo's viewpoint.

The Brigmore Witches then returns players to Coldridge Prison, where Daud needs to mastermind a breakout in order to further his quest for revenge. There are a variety options players have to infiltrate Coldridge as an outsider, as opposed to the captive role Corvo played in Dishonored's main storyline. The stealth route involves sneaking in through the sewer, discovering your quarry's location, and releasing their lock remotely using gathered intel. At the mission's outset, players are also given the option of disguising Daud as a visiting Overseer, which grants access to the prison's less secure entrance areas.

Wander into a restricted area, however, and a battalion of armed guards will surround Daud, forcing players to use his teleportation-like Blink abilities to scale the multi-story fortress in order to escape. Players may also opt to free other prisoners in order to create diversions, as rescuing your target soon proves more difficult than expected.

I picked up the first half of this DLC, wasn't bad but shorter than I expected. I like the difference in abilities between Corvo and Daud. The stop time blink is interesting. If/When they make a sequel I'll be interested in seeing what different powers you can get. I'm just hoping they don't start copying Star Wars Jedi powers like other games have done.

Just started to play this game, I got it for cheap on Black Friday last year, but for some reason never gave it much of a chance. Really liking, this first playthrough is definitely going to be high chaos though, I'm majorly sucking at avoiding detection/not killing anyone. I do like though that the achievements really encourage 2-3 playthroughs, I'm sure going through with no powers and without being detected will make the game much different.

Late to the party but I wonder if someone could answer this question.
So I'm doing a ghost non-lethal playthrough and I'm at the Pendelton brothers, so retroactively I have found out I need to go and do the Flapjack sidequest first, but problem is I've already put both brothers to sleep...

Does that make whatever Flapjack ask me impossible?

Looks like another remaster is headed to new-gen consoles.

The Brazil Advisory Rating Board has classified a “Dishonored Definitive Edition” for release in 2015.
Dishonored first launched for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in October 2012, and was followed up with a “Game of the Year Edition” containing all released downloadable content a year later.
The Definitive Edition would presumably launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Bethesda will hold its first E3 press conference next month, so we’ll probably hear about it there.
Thanks, @Wario64 and @fsenci.

I just happen to be playing this again due to being free on PS+.

It was an enjoyable game. Interested to see what the sequel adds to it. I kind of remember it being a little short. But it's been a while.

I assume Xbox One, too? Because yeah, I may just wait for that. Might as well, I guess.

Yeah it's coming to Xbox One, I only assumed you had a PS4. :b
