Official Dishonored Thread

No electricity powers. There's not a HUGE array of powers: there's a Teleport, Slow down time, stealth vision, summon rats, possession, and wind blasts and then a bunch of passive upgrades you can equip; a few do some neat stuff like burning away bodies of people you've killed.

I wasn't paying too much attention to my time, but I thought it was totally fine - felt like it took me 15 hrs give or take.

^ thanks.

hopefully they add more powers as DLC.

so is it true you can complete missions without killing a single person?

meaning you don't have to play as a bloodthirsty assassin?

Totally, there's an achievement for never killing a single person.

It's not too hard either since you get the choke out move and sleep darts. When your in a sword confrontation, I wish you had some sort of knock out move instead of kill. Or maybe you do and I just haven't discovered it yet

I don't think there's one, I was checking around a bit and I didn't see anything.

You when you knock a guy to the ground there is a prompt to press x what does that do. I usually just hit the trigger and stab them

Yeah I know that but while we're fighting and I hit him and he falls down but isn't it dead, if you go up to the body it has a picture of the body with the x icon.

Man metacritic is so ****ing awful. The PS3 version of Dishonored has a 1.4 user rating.

I just wish Metacritic would die already.

I thought this would be the best way to go for my first playthrough, and while I'm sticking with it I've found some of your target's fates are much worse than death. D:

Getting shot by a guard, freezing time before the bullet hits you, possessing said guard, and putting him in the path of his own bullet, never gets old. Love this game. GOTY so far IMO.

Oh dear. Roll up on three guards harassing a civilian. Stab the first guy in the back, the second one goes to aim at you with his pistol, you blink behind the third guy. The second guy tracks you and shoots his buddy, then you finish him off with a gnarly decapitation. :awesome:

And it's always fun sprinting at a guard, sliding under a table and coming out the other side to shoot 'em in the balls. :o GOTY 2012, mhm.

I think for my 2nd playthrough I'm not gonna use any powers other than lvl 1 blink, and I'm only going to kill who I have to kill with a single crossbow bolt while not alerting or knocking out anybody on the hardest difficulty. Should be fun.

Pretty good ending. The 2nd last non-lethal solution was insanely awesome though,

Pickpocket Daud's pouch without being detected... so awesome. Like playing an assassin's game of tag.

I've been trying to play the game just like I did in the Thief games. Lots of misdirection, sneaking and hiding bodies (either knocked out or sometimes killed)

So much fun!!!

I just tranked the guy and looted him while he was sleeping. :p

lol, I snuck around behind him. On top of the bookshelves.

Pfft, who needs well thought out battles, amazing split second timing, supernatural powers and a mastery of stealth when you have a tranq gun?

So, i'm just about done with the game. And I was thinking "What?? Already!? It's so short!" But then I realized I had 17 hours into...man, what happened? Apparently I was having so much fun I didn't even realize I put that much time into it.

And that's the best part of the game.
