The Avengers Official Easter Egg/Reference Thread

Hey! What about THor's blood on the dagger left on Stark tower? A clone, Ragnarok? Anyone?

Hey! What about THor's blood on the dagger left on Stark tower? A clone, Ragnarok? Anyone?

even if it was... that wouldn't be an easter egg...

also... Hulk was the power house. I don't think Tony showed all that much interest in Thor

exactly! don't pay attention to the one and only guy who can match the Hulk! Of course not, cause Tony is a typical idiot, and controlling that force would absolutely not be of interest to him or SHIELD, right? And that dagger was to important not to be shown going down to the floor, i mean who cares?

if the dagger meant something there would have been a close up of the dagger and something would have been done with it....like someone finding it after all the action.
Not everything is an easter egg

A) you're reading to much into it

B) Tony would be a much bigger idiot for trying to clone Thor

C) Tony is not a biologist and doesn't have Reed Richards to help him make a Android clone hybrid. He'd have no use of his blood, he's not a geneticist.

D) if we didn't see it on the floor we'd have no idea what Loki stabbed him with....

If you say so ;) now others can go in and look out for it and come back an tell us what they saw

I looked really hard at it and it seemed to have a green tint to me, possibly a little bit of distortion, but that was it really.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but when Iron Man shows up while Cap is fighting Loki he has AC/DC: Shoot to Thrill playing over the Quinn Jet's PA which is the same song thats playing when he jumps out of the plain to make his entrence to the Star Expo in IM2.

And these don't have any thing to do with the Avengers but you have the Wizard of Oz/flying monkeys and LOTR/Legolass references.

This is more of a personal easter egg thing.
The Helicarrier's hull is 64
My first ship in the navy was an aircraft carrier with the hull number 64, USS Constellation
The helicarrier is a refitted version of my old ship

Sweet, I caught that too. My dad also worked on that ship and gave us a few tours before.

Not sure if this has been said or not but when Banner and Stark were talking portal Banner says something like "got to heat it up to X degrees to pass the K'un L'un barrier."

They actually say "Coulomb Barrier" Which is a real physics term for the energy needed to ignite nuclear fusion: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coulomb_barrier

They actually use it correctly, too if 'opening the portal' means creating a fusion reaction in the cube (although I'm not sure starting a fusion reaction in Earth's atmosphere is a particularly healthy thing for, well, anyone). It's comic-book physics, but relatively good comic-book physics as those things go.

Of course not, but how would something as obvious as what you state qualify? And it did get it's own little cam shot. But, you may be right.

it got its own shot because they were showing the action of Thor pulling it out of his side.

again... if it didn't show a shot of it, we wouldn't know what he was being stabbed with.

Therefore its showing his inner-self in the reflection. Cool little easter egg imo..

You can't see Hulk in Ruffs reflection! It's a green screen, and you can see his glasses.

Tony looks as green as Bruce does because of the color of the screen. There's no Hulk reflection.

Guess I'll have to wait til the blu-ray screencaps to be proven right :woot: idk why everyones so against this..the reflection was a wider more angular and green tinted glassless face..even with a more ''grinch-like" mouth..Tony's reflection was normal. Of course, this was very fast so I could be mistaken and i'll fully admit it if I am when the time comes but I doubt any of you will if im right lol.

edit - just found a pirate video to help me back up my point but obv no screencaps can be taken because it is pirated.

Just watched the movie again this afternoon and looked for the Hulk's reflection...didn't see it.

You can see what you want to see I guess. It's Bruce, and if and when you get a screen cap you'll see his glasses

Right before Cap gives the two cops orders you can see what looks to be a Lion King Broadway poster.

Loki's first appearance is a Terminator like entrance.

saw it twice and really focused on details such as the banner reflection cause i thought there would be a slight distortion in his face that shows the hulk after the first time(would have been a good hint i guess....but i didnt see anything the second time...

I just said I can't take the screencap cos its against forum rules to post pirated material, so you'll have to wait til September.
