Momoa is asking double what Marvel is offering.. it sounds like they are quoting him a price they were likely also planning on spending for the three unknowns also testing for Drax.. Jason at least has a bit of following thanks to Thrones and Stargate.. plus could be their next Chris Hemsworth in the making..Jason is likely also expected to sign a six picture deal (similar to Pratt?) for a Guardians trilogy and whatever films they want the group to be apart of.. Avengers 2 and so on.. it's an investment Marvel needs to make or they'll end up with a stuntman who will struggle with the material and won't half as charismatic as Jason

Look, Marvel has been low balling actor for years, Momoa is just being smart. He knows that he has a fan base, he knows there are slim pickings for actors that look like Drax, so why not get top dollar. Thats all I'm saying, and marvel WILL PAY

Movie Reshape is the answer. Marvel can cast any actor they want and then use that tech to manipulate the actor and make them taller or more muscular and look completely realistic.

Yeah, they are negotiating but you are deluding yourself if you think Momoa has any leverage at all. This studio dropped both Terrence Howard and Edward Norton, they won't let Momoa hold them up.

Nobody is saying they won't sign him. Everyone is acknowleding that they most likely ARE negotiating. This is not a special situation. It's just standard procedure.

All this is just a ploy by you to make yourself look smart, so if they sign him you'll be prancing around acting all smug like you knew it all along. But it won't work because everyone here knows you're full of it.

Marvel Studios has never, ever "caved."
Nor are they likely to.
Ask Terrence Howard, Edward Norton, and Mickey Rourke. And if you think Momoa's star power is ANYWHERE within range of theirs, imma laugh you right outta this thread. Bald, muscular action stars are a dime a dozen in Hollywood.....finding a replacement for Momoa will be the easiest thing Marvel Studios has ever done.
