Official Incredible Hulk comic thread.

Still having my doubts about this Planet Hulk story. However, I will have to read and see what the outcome is when Silver Surfer makes an appearence.

Why the doubts, Bullseye? You don't like the story so far?

I'm loving Planet Hulk.

I'm still giving the story a chance. Perhaps the next issue will put the book to my liking.

I just read the new issue of IH last night, very good, but I was expecting more of a battle between Hulk and SS, but still a very nice read.

Touching scene at the end when Hulk said"When I first saw you I thought you were a flying saucer and all I wanted was for you to take me with you."

And then SS offered to take him with now but Hulk wouldn't go.

I really like this storyline, and here I didn't start on it right away because I thought Hulk in space might be lame, but I see now that it is done really well, and I love how it's going.

I have to get that tpb of the Prelude to Planet Hulk.

I agree. There has been so much great action in PH so far I just assumed there would be some serious action, but still a very good read and a fitting ending to part 1.

Damn what happenned? I suscribe to IH but only got issue 94 which leads to the SS battle. I still do not quite understand how he was imprisonned.

***SPOILERS***

He was imprisoned basically the same way the Hulk was. During thier battle the Hulk smashed the thing on SS's chest that controls all of the slaves(Just like Hulk), and then SS destroyed all of the controlling devices when he was free.

Yeah... He even goes so far as to say he couldn't use the power cosmic at all while he was wearing that disc, and even with it off he still felt weak. He said it wa something about the planet, so I'm sure that will lead somewhere.

That was a frickin' awesome issue. Hulk is one of the best titles out right now. It is certainly my favorite anyway. Take that Thing!

Hulk vs. SS was an awesome fight. One of the best issues in a long time.

It was very good.:)

I love the Hulk, always have since I was a kid, but it wasn't until recently that I've started really collecting the comics, before I'd get them once in awhile, but now I've come to my senses and put the Hulk on my list at my comic shop.

i'm planning on picking up the Anarky storyline.
not being the biggest hulk fan, i just wondering if it is been a good story so far, anything important i need to know?
cheers

Well, warren... I suggest STRONGLY you find the first four issues of Planet Hulk. It is by FAR one of the best Hulk arcs in a LONG time.

But here's a crash course to what it's about:
Hulk got screwed over by the Illuminati and tricked into space. His ship encountered an unexpected wormhole however, and was sucked into the portal and shot onto some inhabitted planet. He was extrememly weakened and they captured him. He was put into an arena as a gladiator and kicked ass. After that he cut the emperor and was sent to "certain death" in this training camp where he was united with a few other gladiators. They all kicked ass, until the emperor tried to kill them. No such luck for the emperor. So Hulk had one final match for his freedom for surviving so long. FIGHT SILVER SURFER! It was an awesome match. Through certain events that I refuse to spoil, the people were freed and the emperor has lost all control.

You really should get the last four and read for yourself what has happened. Each issue has two issues' worth of action. So much happens every issue, and it is extrememly refreshing. CHECK IT OUT!

Yeah, I finally re-read it today and it was a pretty cool fight, I loved the art for the action. Don't get me wrong, I liked this issue when I 1st read it, but for some reason I was expecting a cover to cover battle.

Great issue!

Planet Hulk has been great so far. I've always been a huge Hulk fan, but I will admit that they can get a little stale sometimes. Way to spice it up.

Read the Hulk/SS comic and it was very good. I am excited to see what happens during the next series of Planet Hulk.

Anybody read Giant - Size Hulk yet? I picked it up today but I won't have time to read it for awhile. It looks ****ing sweet though.

Alright! I can FINALLY pick up the Hulk again after so many dreadful months away!! The Planet Hulk arc is just what the book needed- a break from the norm, and get the Hulk back to his "outerplanetary" adventures again! I think the Luietenant has a wee bit of a crush on the ol' Jade Giant! Could this be a possible love interest for the Hulk? Hulk hasn't had a mainsqueeze since Jarella (the Green Hulk, that is...Grey Hulk used to bang Marlo!). But i kinda have a feeling that the Silver Surfers departing words may come back to huant the Hulk, and be the reason for his departure. Just my thought on how it MAY end. Also, i've enjoyed Hulk's characterization during this arc- it's a mix between the Savage, mixed with the Joe Fix-It persona. Favorite line in the whole issue? Easy:"What <KLIK!> now?" "Simple. We tear this mutha down!" I loved that! Next Planet Hulk issue should be just as good!
