Official Indie Music Thread

I remember seeing a Von Bondies show years ago and my friend got mugged. Like The Cribs as well, you can't go wrong with a bit of Johnny Marr

The Von Bondies man guy got punched in the face by Jack White. :awesome:

So, Im starting to really get into indie music. Im in love with Feist(actually, Ive loved her for a few years now), with that being said, I dont know many bands/singers so anyone want to give me some good singers etc? Along the lines of Feist.

I like 'Welcome Home' off of Radical Face's album, but none of the other songs really grabbed me.

I find the same with the singer's other band, Electric President as well. (The one song being 'Metal Fingers'. I highly recommend it!)

That song is pretty damn awesome AR! I'm already digging into more of their songs. Thanks for posting that.

What Indie artist do you guys like almost all there songs? For me Indie is a genre where I may like only 2 songs from one artist.

indie is a band that signs to an independent label, for me at least.

Bands like Local Natives, Death Cab, Brand New, Interpol are good examples of a mainstream indie band. I usually try to listen to as much as I can by a band if I get hooked on a certain song. I use to be like that with CD's I owned growing up. I'd buy the CD and only listen to the one song I heard before. "The Devil And God are Raging Inside Me" by Brand New made me "venture" out into the rest of the album. And I love every single song on that album.

Yeah Indie is a lose term days like alternative was in the 90s. Can't wait for the new Interpol album as they said their sound is going back to what it was like on turn on the bright lights.

I like airbourne toxic event.
