Official Indie Music Thread

Here's hoping you're in line already :p
Damn, did you at least get to see/hear them live? I had never been a concert person until recently and I regret not being able to watch them :(

Wow...she really is awesome live. Ever heard of Nico Vega? Don't think they belong in the Indie thread but w/e

Love this performance and am hoping to watch them support She Wants Revenge on May 23...it's only $20 after all :wow::hrt:

this is how the arcade fire concert started...im one of the heads up more in the front...idk why the guy that uploaded the vid put it in black and white

Nice video Caleb...I love the videos that they use throughout the concert especially when it turns to the crowd during Wake Up.

Good song Aesop, thanks. :yay:

Oh, Im going to see Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros next month during a charity event. :hrt: All these genres mix, so I just decided to post that here. :word:

wake up is so epic live!
i love phantogram...and the lead singers boobs in general...
also peter bjorn and john is gonna be in town soon but i cant go...kinda sucks

Been watching a Fleet Foxes livestream on NPR for about 45 minutes now....****ing lovely.

They're actually pretty cool. They kind of remind me of Local Natives at certain points, specifically "Bored Dreamer".

Posting this just because I met the drummer in the band not that long ago.

And he was awesome. Really nice guy.

My favourite band too. They better have a new album this year. :cmad:

Exceptional.

Oh, its Franz Ferdinand btw it doesn't say on the video. :o

Love Franz Ferdinad...I've been waiting for a new album as well...and to see them live. The whole instrumental of Lucid Dreams during the end is so damn fantastic.

K, so on the topic of "Indie" music, any of you heard of The National? I'm sure you have. Anyways, I just got "Boxer" from my record shop and I've gotta say it's probably my favorite album by them. And I LOVED "Alligator" & "High Violet."

What do you guys think? Like The National? Don't like? Never heard of? Thoughts.

Damn, forgot to announce it here: MMJ has been playing a live show on VEVO for the last hour and a half, directed by Todd Haynes. They are on their encore and it has been fantastic. Hopefully they have this video up somehow.

Where are you all at?!?

Here with another recommendation.

Timber Timbre, an eerie melancholic band that is perfect for cold, foggy weather.
