I remember back when Keaton was the only guy who should ever play Batman.
Then he didn't want to come back, and no amount of dollars brought him back.
So, yeah, someone else will someday play Batman, and you should get over it. Bale's good as Batman, but Batman doesn't belong to him. No matter how much of a raspy voice he makes.
And Bale has interest to return in another Batman film. So no need to cast for another live action Batman just yet when we already have a Batman that is kicking serious ass (again, just look at the BO numbers and critical reception).
Given TDK's success, I think Warners might actually be emboldened to capitalize on Batman's popularity by giving this movie the greenlight. As long as the movie clearly delineates its Batman as being completely different from Nolan's version in looks, mannerisms and speech, I don't see a problem why two different Batmans can coexist on the silver screen. Hopefully Warners feels the same way.
TDK success has changed things, it has killed JL from happening anytime soon.
I would hope that WB is emboldened to give a Nolan/Bale third movie a greenlight before a JL movie considering its THEIR movies that were successful.
I will take pleasure when your opinion has been dispelled.
It was successful because it was given the chance to be successful. A movie cannot succeed unless given the chance. I say give this JL movie the same opportunity before audiences grow weary of watching men in tights.
Then I disagree with Showtime.

I want a JLA movie. With a good cast, story, and director. I don't care whether Bale and Routh are in it or not (I'd prefer that they aren't, the Singer/Nolan U won't work in a JLA film). The Superman and Batman roles have shown in the past that the actors are replacable. Just get good actors who fit the part.
Yes give it a chance, in 10 years time when Nolan has finished his series, until then, JL has no place on screen.
Ah, ha...So you think WB's response to economic success is releasing less related products? You think they're less likely to make another film that has Batman now that they got one highly successfull film featuring Batman? Sir, you sure know your Warner...TDK success has changed things, it has killed JL from happening anytime soon.
But have there ever been AS MANY as there are now? The genre is sort of saturating. And saturation often leads to a "we're tired of this" attitutude.Biolumen, audiences haven't gotten tired in 30 years. Enough already, and start making sense. Downplaying the success of Dark Knight doesn't make JL materalize.

Given the WB's track record, a JLA movie with another Batman isn't out of the question though it would be a bad move.Batman's p[opul
It's simple as to why they won't have multiple Batman's at the same time, TDK films success is not due to Batman's popularity alone, it's because it's a damn good mainstream movie, one of the best in years, it has drawn in not only fans of Batman and superhero films, but a large percentage of people who normally never go to see such films, WB are not going to screw around by throwing in another version of the character at risk of damaging a possible third Nolan Batman film. Bale and Bale alone is Batman during this time period, anyone else playing the character at the same time will be brushed aside by both fans and the general public. JL was nothing more than a knee jerk reaction to a poor performing Superman film, TDK success has changed things, it has killed JL from happening anytime soon.

Given TDK's success, I think Warners might actually be emboldened to capitalize on Batman's popularity by giving this movie the greenlight. Warner would love to have Bale as Batman, but he doesn't want to. So stop saying that they can't do it without him. They can. And they will.
I think he can base that on the fact that it has been done in the past. I wouldn't put it past the folks at the WB to do that. Once again, Batman is more important than the character actor that plays him.
