The biggest BS of all is that the article actually states RESUME shooting.
They never started shooting anything.

Unless his JL movie is actually just delayed, not cancelled, but...

Miller wants to resume filming... with this movie going forward or not, still someone needs to leak the footage ASAP.

With Millers little statement about filming to start next year, Im guessing this board has another year or 2 in it!

Probably just some palm trees.
Although it is open now, tomorrow is another day.![]()
If they want to leak something to get people excited about the project, I'd say some WETA designs or maquettes for the costumes.Plam trees, mountains, sky scrappers, whatever, I would like to know whats Millers tone was going to be...
It's curious to also note that though Jamie of Screen Rant was posting to the JL:M SHH board Monday, he did not once refute Slash Film's comment about hearing a source say the movie may be back on. My question is, did he not berate a fellow blogger out of courtesy and friendship or because he believes that there might be something to the rumor?

It's possible they did some preproduction work that included some film tests, background/establishing shots, or perhaps some extra work, but there's definitely no actual production work with the main cast. And, screen test footage likely exists.
Beyond that, I think it's best to take everything with a grain of salt. I do think that if Miller wants to push forward with the project he has the clout to at least keep it under consideration. He's made WB a lot of money over the years as a director and producer and he's not a director that can just be blown off. Especially if he can pull the plug on Happy Feet 2, which is a big potential money maker.
The reason he can and will be blown off is because of Christopher Nolan and Dark Knight. Not taking anything away from Miller, just bad timing and a pesky bat.

That's where I disagree. By the time you figure in international grosses, DVD, and merchandising HF2 has half a billion potential. Nobody blows that off. They may delay, encourage changes, seek Nolan's approval, etc., but the key is that you seek compromise, not let some other director run your studio.
I think that the first step towards JL happening at all is simply to get Nolan signed up for a third Batman film.
^ The general public has just been served up a piece of cinema gold and is lapping it up 3 weeks after release, if you market it as a film with Batman in it and then explain this isn't the same Batman from the TDK, people will reject it.

With all due respect, that's not necesarrily how normal, non-freaks would act.
It's a sad example, but remember when they changed Michael Keaton for Val Kilmer? The Val Kilmer version made more money than the superior-in-general Batman Returns.
Just because hype made Dark Knight a lot of money
doesn't mean normal folks won't watch another Batman.

Especially if that Batman is part of a "Combo" offer.
