That would be odd, given that Talbot's been dead for years. Stranger things have happened in comics, though.

So it could be Matt Talbot though it seems unlikely. I just can't think of someone who really fits the bill of who this red Hulk should be.wikipedia said:Soon Congress cut funds from Gamma Base and Talbot decides once and for all to stop the Hulk by using the War Wagon.
Glenn Talbot is killed fighting the Hulk in Japan while piloting the War Wagon, as seen in Incredible Hulk #260. Glenn's nephew Matthew "Matt" Talbot later became a Major himself and an enemy of the Hulk.
His brother Brian Talbot became Grey of the Gamma Corps. In issue #4 of the titular series, it is revealed Brian hated Glenn throughout his life, as Glenn would often beat and humilate him.
I'm not looking forward to the fight with Thor. Based on all the comments I've seen from Loeb and McGuinness, they'll probably have the red Hulk bulldoze right over Thor, never mind how much more powerful Thor should be now.![]()
Which would be lame. I've never liked the idea of the Hulk somehow being so strong he becomes metaphysical. That just goes to show you how ridiculously stronger the Red Hulk is.
Pre-Odinpower Thor, sure. With the Odinpower? The Hulk shouldn't stand a chance. Thor shouldn't just stand there and wrestle him, either, but I'm almost certain that's what he'll do because that's what every writer always makes him do.What about just slightly stronger than Thor?
How did Thor end up with the Odinpower again?
And I don't think this red Hulk is going to be stronger than the classic green Hulk. It seems more like he's strong but the thing that will allow him to have an edge against other Marvel heavy hitters (Banner, Thor, etc) is his intelligence, ruthlessness, and ability to use heavy weapons.
But it's a little annoying that Loeb is making green Hulk a moron again with no explanation for why he doesn't have the same kind of personality as he did for the last couple years... I mean, with Rick Jones being "A-Bomb" I think the quota for stupid third person smash talk would be filled but I guess not...
But how about Skaar: Son of Hulk? Pak is kicking ass with some Planet Hulk-esque, Conan meets Star Wars meets Hulk, action packed storytelling!
I liked the first issue. I wasn't quite sure what was going on with that little bald kid. That wasn't Skaar, right? But I guess that group of Sakaarans mistook him for Skaar and followed him or something? I think I gotta reread it.But how about Skaar: Son of Hulk? Except JMS specifically stated that Thor isn't holding back anymore. Oh well, we'll see--if the Hulk series stops skipping months and we actually ever see Hulk #5, that is.
That seems prudent, given that pretty much everyone loses to the Hulk at some point, regardless of how little sense it makes.
Marvel has said "most powerful superhero on earth." Take that as you will...Pre-Odinpower Thor, sure. With the Odinpower? The Hulk shouldn't stand a chance.
