Why can't Pak be like Bendis and write 18 comics at once? He's only on Skaar (which is ****ing awesome, btw), and half the writing duties of Incredible Herc (which is also ****ing awesome). Why in the **** wouldn't Marvel keep him on Hulk with Pags is beyond me.

I found WWH boring. PH I only read bits of and am gonna get the UK omnibus eventually, but Herc I can't be assed with and Skaar I'm gonna give a go. I don't think Pak quite has that superstar appeal yet, but I'm confident he'll get there one day. Who's working on DD with Bru? I thought it was Pak, am I wrong? I don't read it. I find Bru's DD boring. It's too much of a crime caper and not enough of a superhero book imo

Wow, that--that--that's just AWFUL. Such bad taste, even for you, man.

Don't push me cause I'm close to the edge.:o

I mean, it's just one of the stupidest arguments to make in a debate ever, "What are you related to him or something?":whatever:

Look at the sales numbers and ask yourself that question again.

Alright, this is getting stupid.

You have, what, the sales for issues 1-3 to go on? And thats coming off of PH and WWH which most people loved. You cannot tell the success of this off of sales yet, sorry. WAY too soon, especially when I see person after person after person dropping this book now that they know its *****.

It's like saying a TV show's new direction is doing awesome because its keeping its ratings steady 3 episodes in . .

I do expect Issue 4 to do good to though, because with the "real Hulk" coming back it looked like things could have gotten good. How wrong can you get.

Face it, Loeb is getting sales based on PH and WWH, which were phenomenal. (Well, ok more PH and than WWH but compared to this, WWH is amazing). It'll take an arc or 2 for sales to reflect how awful this thing is. And unless Joe Q. stops being a *****ebag and Loeb SERIOUSLY retools this story, sales WILL plummet.

I'm sorry, I missed the part where we were debating. Because we weren't.

My point was: why do you care if people badmouth Loeb? He's brought it on himself at this point anyway.

I don't think Brubaker is working with any other writers on DD. As far as I know anyway. And what DD with Bru did you read? I thought it's been pretty cool so far.

And BTW, I don't know how you could think the most action packed Marvel event ever (WWH) is boring, but to each his own. And I don't care about Pak's popularity. He writes awesome stories that don't take four issues to set up. One issue into Planet Hulk so much happens and you're already well into the story. Same with Skaar: Son of Hulk. And sales weren't bad for Planet Hulk or WWH so he should have stayed on Hulk. With Pags. If it isn't broke, you shouldn't fix it.

Greg Rucka has started co-writing with Brubaker.

Yeah, I haven't picked it up since about 101 or 102. How's it been since then? Is it a noticeable difference now that Rucka is co-writing?

He's only co-writing the current arc. It's not a Brubaker-Fraction deal.

You're living in a dream world sir.

You're missing the point, I'm not defending Loeb or his writing. Fact is, his writing on this title is not good. I've admitted this already, I'm defending the direction of the book. There is a difference.

I'm not saying any other event was necessarily better, I just never saw any point to it. The story didn't read great to me and unless you're a hulk fan there was very little change. When IM offered Pete and co a way back, if theyd ran with that then cool, I would have seen some point and maybe enjoyed it more. As for the action I don't really look for fights in comic books. They have to be special for me to care about them, like the original SM-Morlun fight. Now that was awesome. I seem to remember quite a bit happening off panel in the series anyway and I actually didn't pick up the last issue so maybe it's just my fault I missed the good stuff...

Okay? Is that ****ing true? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! THat is just so funny! :woot:

I didn't get to pick up #4 yet, but I think it sounds like most boring/stupid fight that you could EVER have between two Hulks. I mean, how could you **** that up?

Two mean-ass Hulks duking it out. It pretty much writes itsself and it sounds like Jeff Loeb went out of his way to make it boring.

A lot of people thought Bruce Jones' run sucked because it didn't have a whole lot of Hulk, but here you have a Hulk-****ing-mania, two pissed off Hulks and A-Bomb and the story blows.

Call me crazy, but I liked Jones' run WAY better than Loeb's. At least it was a pretty exciting story and Hulk did stuff like rip mesas in half and dominate Abomination and he found a way to control his Hulk persona and it was cool.

Although I give Loeb's version credit because it's pretty cool with all the crazy fights going on so far and it's fun but it's just not nearly as exciting, IMO.

He also had Captain America KO the Hulk sometime in the past in Fallen Son.

But that actually happened, he was referencing continuity.

And it isn't the first time the Hulk has had a body part broken, and it won't be the last probably. They're showing off how powerful this new Red Hulk is. Come on guys, seriously, this is getting ridiculous.

What issue did that happen in? (i honestly never saw it before)...

Also; in the past, the Hulk has suffered tremendous damage, and kept fighting...Vector blew 70% of the Hulks flesh off his body, but the Hulk kept fighting and regenerated...and that was the Professor persona, who is not as powerful as the savage version.

Mind you; im not knocking Loeb. I read the first issue of the new volume and really enjoyed it. I just fell behind due to lack of funds (raising a family in this crappy economy is a *****!), and im contemplating picking up the last three, but not if savage Hulk is going to be used as a whipping boy to show how "kewl" Red Hulk is...

It's not that his arm was broken, it's that he passed out because his arm was broken. What the **** is that?

What an anticlactic end to a Hulk fight. Like Blader said, what an epic fight, right? It's lame. It's not action packed and cool. It's semi-action packed and LAME.

But I thought you weren't defending how crappy the series was? :woot:

Yeah, I can't give you the exact issue number but I will.

And we really don't know what the Hulk's current power level is. I assume it's down from WWH considerably.

It's not that his arm was broken, it's that he passed out because his arm was broken. What the **** is that?

I don't think he passed out because his arm was broken. I don't have the issue with me but I remember his arm getting broken and his face being punched repeatedly, or maybe vice versa. Regardless, he didn't pass out because his arm was broken, it was just part of the overall beatdown.

And no, stay consistent, I said I was not defending Loeb's writing. ****, you people can't even stay on top of what I say. Wow.
