Official Rulk Thread

Ah so there it is. The truth is revealed. You would hate this regardless of content because you hate Loeb. Wow, was that so hard cornflake? I mean it's still a stupid reason, but at least it has some legitimacy.

And of course not everyone is going to like something, haters exist for everything, I think we still have a kid who hates Captain America running around here, but at least they don't make up stupid reasons to hate it.:o

Absolutely not. I like The Long Halloween, Spider-Man: Blue, etc. But in the last few years he has absolutely tanked, and when you look at piles of **** like Onslaught Reborn and Ultimates 3, I think it's safe to say that he isn't intentionally writing the Hulk book like a ******, that's just how he is nowadays. Not unlike what has happened to Frank Miller, though much worse, because at least Miller's plunge into insanity is a bit more understandable

Also, I don't think poor writing and unexciting action are stupid reasons to hate a comic book. Seems to me that those would be the best reasons to hate a particular comic.

You expected Onslaught Reborn to be good?

How did you interpret "pile of ****" as "I was really anticipating Onslaught Reborn and was disappointed when Loeb dropped the ball"?

You read it, so there must be some reason you bought it. Unless you bought it for charity reasons.

lol.

I love this cycle logic people put out. You can't ***** about a comic you bought because you bought it so you supported it. And you can't ***** about a comic you didn't buy because you're ignorant or a pirating thief.

In conclusion, you can't ***** period.

Face it dude, Rick Jones ain't the true Abomination. Loeb's "Hulk" is.

Actually no, I fully support people *****ing about comics they bought. But they need to cease the *****ing once they dropped the book because they hated it. I mean, what purpose is there for you and Blader to be here to just relive a book you hated so much? Tell me. I used to be like you guys with Green Lantern. Guess what, I stopped buying it and I haven't made a Hal Jordan joke in months. It feels good, try it out guys.

The only thing you guys need to face is that you're in the minority here on your thoughts about Hulk. Not saying that this means to stop, but really, everyone else seems to be finding enjoyment out of it in some form or another.

Guy likes the pain. "Stick a cigarette in my eye and tell me i'm scum!!"

Wow 55 pages for something thats like 5 issues in. Well done Loeb, well done... *applauds*

Was that sarcasm? Because I'm pretty sure I was not defending Onslaught Reborn, quite the opposite actually.
It wasn't sarcasm. I know you weren't defending Onslaught Reborn. But I always see you defending Loeb on the boards. I thought maybe he was related to you or something?

Yeah, I am. My name is Sam.

Are you implying he purposely ruined a character that was amazing only last year, just to get attention with a big thread on a website trashing his terrible comic?

Wow, what a genius.

Why can't Pak be like Bendis and write 18 comics at once? He's only on Skaar (which is ****ing awesome, btw), and half the writing duties of Incredible Herc (which is also ****ing awesome). Why in the **** wouldn't Marvel keep him on Hulk with Pags is beyond me.

Look at the sales numbers and ask yourself that question again.

You know I get it wass just a bunch of fights but I still do not understand what the purpose of creating a new GSC and call him the "Hulk" and then have him demolish the "real" Hulk. I am just dissappojnted that all the progress the Hulk has made over the past 2 years seems to have been lost and that sucks as a Hulk fan.

I just hope in number 6, the red GSC gets obliterated as he rightfully should already be from the future number 5.

Edit: I read the post below in the Hulk comic book forums and it summarizes my feelings about the whole thing pretty well.

Totally uninterested in the fight, and totally uninterested in the Hulk book at this point. I continue to read only by virtue of my intense Hulk fanboyism, and the slim hope that Loeb will come to his senses and take this book somewhere interesting.

PH/WWH were the best Hulk's been in a long time, and instead of carrying those events and what they did to the Hulk and Banner to new places, Jeph Loeb decided to have issue after issue of brainless brawls, with a Banner/Hulk who acts as if PH/WWH never happened. Am I the only one who remembers that Banner was on the same page as the Hulk? When they came to him for help with the Red Hulk, he should have told them to get bent. He should be suffering from massive depression.

I don't know what happened to Jeph Loeb. Did he hit his head and lose all his talent? Between this and the offensively bad Ultimates 3, I just don't understand what the hell is going on with him. Can we please have the old Jeph Loeb back? Hell, if he had explained the presence of the savage Hulk by saying that the trauma and grief of PH/WWH had caused the Hulk to suffer psychological regression, that at least would have been something. Instead, he's apparently opted to act like PH/WWH never happened and had no consequences.

Bad, bad move.

Dude Amen. :yay: Thats the real problem i'm having with this new series. I dont dislike it, the art is awesome and the fights are cool but what in the heck happened to the original hulk, did he forget everything thats happened to him recently?? All i want is some closure on planet hulk/WWH, it all ended so abruptly and bruce banner seems un-phased by it all and the hulk is back to square one. So, was there ANY point to WWH and planet hulk then?

Wow, what a genius.

****, his comics 4 issues in and you guys can't stop talkin' bout it. That's all I'm saying. Sales are through the roof as well I suppose?
