Official Rulk Thread

What? When did that happen in Planet Hulk? He was just switching back and forth between the more intelligent savage Hulk Peter David brought back with "Tempest Fugit" and Banner throughout Planet Hulk and WWH, wasn't he?

The only thing is supposedly in the planet hulk that led to the world war hulk story line he learned to tap into his other personalities and was able to change back and forth at will. It seems that all of a sudden he has completely lost all that he learned including his gladotorial fighting skills. Even savage hulk had a memory.
He didn't learn how to tap into anything. He was the exact same Hulk featured in PAD's Tempest Fugit arc just like Corp mentioned. He didn't change into ANY other Hulk personalities, much less at will. And he adapted to certain fighting situations like when he fought the Red King the first time but that has nothing to do with his other personalities and I don't see why you assume that he's forgotten everything he learned.

In other words, what are you talking about? :oldrazz:

That's one of those weird things that goes beyond even a dude turning into a green giant to break my suspension of disbelief. His face just... subtracts its facial hair? Why?

Cant tell you why.

When and where has it happened before?

Twice in Hulk history if I remember correctly.

One I'm 100% sure of.

The one I'm sure of happened in the TV movie "The trial of the Incredible Hulk".David Bruce Banner had a beard at the begining of the show and when he changed into the Hulk it was gone. When he changed back the beard returned.

The other one that I'm not so sure about was durring the late 70's.I remember Bruce having a thick 5 o'clock shadow and when he changed to Hulk he was clean shaven.

But I'll admit I cant back that one up.

Actually we've seen that there are hundreds, and mixtures of those hundreds meaning there can easily be thousands. We have however only seen like 7 that actually manifest physically.

True enough.

No but the Hulk in tempest fugit and the hulk thereafter was integrated somewhat. He had Gray's attitude and Savage's rage but with an inteligence to control it. Plus he had great fighting skills.

The one image we see of the Hulk in the new comic we see him reverting to the old speech patterns and then being blindsided by a tackle from the red GSC. It just seems to me that he has lost all his learnings from before.

Well, either he was really really mad, or Loeb doesn't know what he's doing.

Ive only read the first issue, I liked it. Should I pick up the rest of the series?

I guess it sucks then. Atleast Ill be able to rip some kid off if I resell the first issue :o

Wait...you liked the first issue, but one poster on a message board says "no" and now you think it sucks?

:hehe:

Ive already heard mixed things and a guy with a William Shatner avatar wouldnt lie to me. :o

i was going to say something along those terms.

if you like something read it, you shouldn't base your opinion on those who "know" there's to be fact.

Its resomendations man, I dont wanna throw down 30 for 10 issues of a comic that might suck. If im gonna do that I want some good **** like Captain America.

Well you're in luck, since the first issue theres only been, what? four issues since then? So theres no need to buy 30 dollars worth of issues, unless somebodies price gouging. I think the book is trash just like everything Loeb's written post Superman/Batman, but suit yourself if you wanna spend cash on it.

*sigh*...I'm at work until 7...Can't wait to leave and pick up all of the issues waiting for me today.

Eh, not really. It's kinda sad seeing Green Hulk in his current state considering he was so badass and strong during WWH

Issue #4 was amazing!! I really loved seeing Green Hulk fight the Red Hulk, it was just awesome.

So I guess Red Hulk is the clear victor? ;-)

Ahhh 1 more hour until I can pick up my issues.

haha. Well, since he faces off against Thor in #5 I'm assuming something occurs which merely removes Green from the fight...Only to return in #6...I find out....Shortly!
