Official Rulk Thread

What am I telling Marvel by reading it in the store and on the internet for free?

That you're stealing their product and will soon be hit with a lawsuit.

Yeah, if you go around announcing it to everyone. But before the lawsuit, you're telling them that it sucks. There are no gradients here. As far as anyone at Marvel knows or cares, if you buy it, you love it; if you don't buy it, you hate it.

Well then I guess I hate it. I suspected as much.

And I don't know where all this crazy lawsuit talk is coming from when the only place I've read them online is messages boards like this one. :whatever:

Reading on the net for free????

News to me......um.....how is this possible?

Depends. Some comics appear exclusively on the Web. Sometimes, Marvel or DC come out with a Web-exclusive that's free. Marvel has a few available on their site, though the vast majority require a paid membership. Then there's previews, which can be so voluminous that they're practically the entire comic. Still, if you want a mainstream comic the legal venue is still the comic book store. It's bad for companies if you scan entire comics and distribute them, and they're willing to take serious measures to put a stop to that.

How the hell can they take the Hulk at the end of WWH and turn him into a creature who gets his arm broken easy and then starts passing out because of the pain.....

That is simply terrible writing. For one, the dumb green Hulk hasn't been around for a loong while now: Hulk's personality has been the smarter surly type for quite some time, even during Bruce Jones dismal run (I think the dumb Hulk hasn't been seen outside of Banner's mind since the early 90's). I would ask if Loeb even looks at the characters history before writing them (this applies to his version of Thor too) but I figure he'd have to be extremely ignorant not to know this fact so he is just doing whatever the hell he wants regardless.

Secondly, Loeb seem to think Hulk's slower healing from broken bones makes him a big wuss. Now this is a creature that has endured having most of his flesh flayed off without stopping in a fight. A broken arm would just p#ss him off.

Perhaps its something that hasn't been explained yet.

Maybe Red Hulk's sudden appearance, and Hulk's lower strength and slower healing, have something to do with each other. Maybe we have to wait and see.

I like the Red Hulk run so far, even though I'm not sure about the Thor part. But I like the art alot and the story is entertaining.

Were you born with that stick up your ass?

Where are some sights where you can preview comics?? I would love that. That way I could just drop by the comic store and pick up what I already know I want instead of staying there too long.

Got any links?:yay:

Newsarama.com usually has a few; the last one I saw was for Trinity #11. The other previews I was talking about were on Marvel's official site. It should only take a few moments of searching to find a few.

So? When they started the Grey Hulk storyline in the 80's, the grey Hulk hadnt been seen in over 300 issues....you're kind of nit-picking a bit, dont you think?

Not really...
When the grey Hulk re-emerged there was a reason: The reader didn't have to fan-wank any explanation*, they covered it all within the story.
To have dumb Hulk just re-appear after so long, and have him pass out from an injury rather than get p#ssed off by it to boot, is simply poor writing.

*an example of tossing off an explanation would be to say whatever Stark hit WWH with allowed the dumb Hulk's persona to come back (continued exposure to radiation allowed Banner's mind to control the Hulk for a spell back in the 80's so there is a precedent for that sort of thing), but all the same, the writer should take the small amount of time to explain this. Another thing to consider is what is served by having the dumb Hulk back now? To make Red Hulk look 'cooler'?
Personally I'd rather the smarter Hulk face off against this red pretender.

Well, maybe there IS a reason. The difference between story-telling today and 25 years ago is these days plots are drawn out a lot longer than back then. Doesnt mean an explanation isnt forthcoming....

I don't like red Hulk. Sorry if this bothers you for some reason.

I don't see anything wrong with you opinion LOL but I like Red Hulk because he's just super wild and super strong and super unbeatable!:wow:

Oh...you should read this one comic, "Superman". Ever heard of him?

Unless the comic does a 180 next issue , this is a terrible story. Whats the motivation of simply trashing the marvel universe? Back on earth and the hulk title is basically another Iron man side project. Yeah the INCREDIBLE HERCULES deserves to take the book after this crap they call hulk.
