Superman Returns Official Soundtrack Preview now Online!!!

Its an awesome score from the 30 seconds I've heard!

I freaken LOVE LOVE LOVE the last half of that "Rough Flight" sound clip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the "Reprise/Fly away" song clip! just as the music clip starts!.. That love theme, it has a whooole different feel to it. It's a lot more powerful and more beautiful sounding.. I think it's the way the tones are laid in over each other.. BEAUTIFUL, JUST BEAUTIFUL!

And of course, the main theme has never sounded better!!! So clean, and you can just feel that it has been updated the tiniest bit, I mean with some bass sounding drums in the background and such.. who knows, you can just feel that there's "something" else present, that wasn't in the old one.. And the great part about it is that it isn't noticable, and yet IT IS.. you just dont know that you're noticing it... how stupid that may sound! Never the less...it's B-E-A-utiful!!!

I have always been a fan of the Love Theme From Superman that was used as the end theme. But I have to admit that hearing reprise/Fly away. That it brought back memories of the 1978 movie for me. Instead of seeing Kate/Brandon for a moment I saw Chris/Margot.

The score is good because it is not what Ken Thorne did for II and III. Kinda what Courage was trying to do for IV. But SR does manage to stay true to the original formula but at the same time being different.

Sounds great no problems with it, love the love theme and the main titles, wish I could have heard my da DA DA DA da beginning though.

So is the beginning sound like in STM the hummmm da da da da DA DA.. Oh and where is the Krypton Theme!?

Ottman did a wonderful job, as I suspect Singer has done as well.

diddo, the shift from the rough flight to desperate rescue is great, and the memories clip I think (when the new score transitions into the smallville theme) very nice.

I listened to one clip and then i realized that i want some things to be a surprise when i see the film.:o :)

oh wow! the Superman theme updated sounds fantastic! It feels re-engergized from the 78 theme (obviously)

you do realize that this film is about a grown man in tights who flies around and stops things, right?

you know I know that. I have no idea why you'd question anyone here about who superman is. You want me to say I deliberately used hyperbole to show how excited I am? Ok, I deliberately used hyperbole to show how excited I am.:supes: is back, bich.

I had a lump in my throat when the Kent Farm theme came up in 'Memories'. Thank got Singer and Ottman kept Williams' work. It just elevates the film to a different level, although full credit to Ottman for the update.

Yeah same here....The Kent farm theme really caught me off guard but it a very good way. I really wasnt expecting to hear anything from the original score except the main theme, krypton, and the love theme.

Yeah. Although on a site where the word "Hype" is included in the title, you should probably prepare yourself for a level of fanboy that is quite literally out of his mind saying some of the things he says.

Such as "This movie is life-changing."

Perspective is often in short supply. Sorta gotta expect that even HEADING into this spot.

We love our heros,....maybe a little too much... I know what my faults are anyway and I'm trying to get better with every post, biz. at least enough to know where the line is drawn. I've actually learned a lot from you. All those years of star wars anticipation, I checked out a lot of your stuff on mf. I'd actually love to just sit and chat some time over a box of fig newtons...

 I dont hear it.

Not the Smallville TV theme, Cap. What they call "the Kent Family Theme" I've always called the "Smallville" theme. I'm pretty sure most others did too, at least untill Smallville came out and the literal "Smallville Theme" turned into a whiny emo-rock chunk of turd :)

And Wes: Thanks for the propers, man, I really do appreciate it.

Sweet soundtrack!!! Why do I have nerdgasms with each new scrap of SR material? "Thissssss movie is gonna be fantassssssstic!!!" (in nerdiest lisp voice)

If there's one thing I've learned over the course of my comic-geekry it's that chicks love guys that dissect movie soundtracks before the movie premieres.....trust me on this one fellas!!!

I really liked the soundtrack preview.

But I was just wondering - Would the film have worked with the same ol' Williams score with just a "little" upgrading?

I mean, I kinda thought the blog and the teaser trailer were working pretty well with those thirty year old cues.

I'm really excited about hearing the new themes with the movie though.

Hey, finally I heard it.

Ottman made a great job, his music has Williams level.

There were enoiugh beautiful themes, which reminds me STM themes.

It was great traveling to Superman world.

I was so happy to listen it again and again.

SR will be one of the best movies 2006 and it will be in memories of billions of people!!!

:supes:
