I enjoyed Spiderman3. It may not have been the best of the trilogy, but I enjoyed immensely neither the less. It was a whole lot better than other second sequel comic book movie. I for one, am glad to see it do so well at the box office. Thumbs up Thinner6, 3 for 3 in my book.

Well if we count Transformers as a comic book movie the sequel could give a run for it's money...i mean the first which almost anyone had doubts about has already made around 535 million $ so it can make around 800 or more and now that most of the doubts have dissapeared and if the sequal is better than the first it can be HUGE.Otherwise i dont think so although i would absolutelly love to see The Dark Knight make it but i somehow doubt that very much.

Doubtful. Sequels almost never outperform their predecessor. Even Spider-Man 2 which had tons of buzz around it as the greatest superhero movie ever didn't beat the first one at the BO.

The most interesting thing is how much SP fan base has grown overseas...every single movie has made what it's previous movie made overseas...Pirates,Shrek and now Potter...but SP made 143 more then SP2 ...That is a LOT.

3 movies over 300 million,

Well i wont say possibly 4 cause TF has 284 by now....so in about 10 days it will cross 300,but yeah this summer is awesome boxoffice wise.

The most amazing thing is that with so much competion almost every movie made a great run at the B.O(except FF2 and Evan Almighty)..Die Hard,Ratatouille,SP3,Shrek,TF,Pirates,Knocked Up and so on...

Well, looking at the end of the Summer, Spidey 3 is very well-positioned: number one domestically - TF and HP5 won´t reach it -, number two worldwide - but that we´ll have to wait and see a bit more -, the biggest one of the franchise worldwide, domestically a smaller drop from the last movie than either Shrek 3, POTC3 or FF2. The "Wedding Crashers" of this summer is "Knocked Úp", the only real major flop was "Evan Almighty". Overall, great results BO-wise, on the movies I have yet to see some of them.

My theaters don't play EA anymore. But they still pla KU. What a bomb!

I say Spidey will keep the #2 spot WW for the rest of the year, nothing else huge coming out.
