Armitage's voice BOOMS on the big screen when he starts up the song.
It is quite cool.

Why dont we wait to see what he presents in december and next december before damning the films and its crew
I think the positivity I've demonstrated throughout the lifetime of this thread far outweighs the number of negative/skeptical posts I've made.
Enough additional shooting that they're actually toying with the idea of making a third movie. That's somewhat troubling to me, for reasons previously given. In a mere handful of posts a few of you seem to have come to the conclusion that Jackson is planning to milk the hobbit train all the way from here to Mordor, madly cackling as he wrings every last bit of life from the source material that he can, when in actuality all he's said is that they're looking at shooting some extra material over a period of a few weeks.
I'm glad this film is a two parter now. We don't want to end up with a bloated, contrived and messy film with more plotholes than you can count like some other film released recently.

What's with the rock monster, that wasn't in the book?
It looks very similar to the gatekeeper in Hellboy II.I bet the giants are Del Toro's design. He is always good at designing these really extraordinary beings.
What's with the rock monster, that wasn't in the book?
When he peeped out in the lightning-flashes, he saw that across the valley the stone-giants were out and were hurling rocks at one another for a game, and catching them, and tossing them down into the darkness where they smashed among the trees far below, or splintered into little bits with a bang.
