Jesus, look at those eyes!

Gollum looks younger (probably the bigger and brighter dark blue eyes). Which is appropriate I guess.

More of a baby look to him.

There are trailer screenshots...but no trailer?

These are promotional shots leading up to the trailer. The trailer will be released online Wednesday.

Yup those are definitely trailer screenshots. Which are stunning.

He's like Jesus; we have evidence of his birth and childhood but we have nothing on his life until he reappeared in his 60s.

Indeed. And looks like he's stuck around longer than the other Bearded Wonder, which is awesome.

Gollum, Bilbo and Gandalf look great as usual. Radagast... meh, I need to see him in action.
Thorin still sucks. I might as well put it in my sig so I don't have to repeat it every other post.

Btw, Tauriel toy. (Not my pic, I found it on some other forum).

I'm not sure why they decided to make her a ginger, but at this point, what does it matter.

Looks incredible. I have never seen such quality in digital. Now I'm very curious to check out the 48 fps

Gollum looks incredible. He looks completely photo-realistic in the shot. The detailed work that went into rendering his hand is just spectacular...and those eyes. Wow.

Although it doesn't exactly scream sex appeal, can't wait to see a full body photo of her. Love gingers/red heads so it is good either way & it being Evangeline Lilly is a bonus.:hrt:

I love gingers too. my pet peeve is when a natural ginger dyes her hair to another color. Gingers are rare as hell- embrace it, guuurl!

Yeah, that Gollum does look like a maquette at first glance. The eyes being kinda shiny is the tell.

I've heard reports from some sites (including the infamous Devin Faraci) that while the film might look weird in 48, the one benefit is that the CGI is more naturalistic (I assume because they needed to double up on the animation for the extra frames)

That's fine by me. I'm just very curious about the 48fps because I've heard it feels like you are right there as if it's real life and the screen is taken away. Those photos kind of look like they are capable of doing that.

Do I detect ....flesh tones on Gollum? Seems like he had several thousand less layers of dirt and grime cleaved unto his body then. I wonder how many centuries of perpetual baths it would take for him to have normal skin tone again. The dip in the fires of mount doom probably did it.
