Yes she does manipulate objects with her mind. What the hell do you think she's been doing for the last 40-fricking years?????
If she wants to move a candlestick from one end of the room to the other she has to encase it in a field and move it mentally. If she has five suitcases and doesn't want to carry them all, she has to create platforms of invisibility under the luggage to tote them along. Ditto for when she glides through the air--she is moving objects (in this case, her body) psionically.
Susan Richards' powers are clearly a form of teke. I can't believe you would suggest otherwise.
Jean Grey manipulates objects. When she moves objects or stops objects she's controlling the actual mass. Sue's powers if anything are closer to Cyclops' than Jean's. Sue, like Scott is projecting energy. But while Scott's powers are blunt, Sue's are more refined. When she moves objects forward or backward, she's only expanding and contracting her force field. She isn't actually touching the object.

WOW.
This movie is soooooooooooo going to top the 1st one. The sets, the matting, everything looks sharp. The Tourch Thing exchange scene. That's going to be a riot. The voice of the Surfer just fits. It's soft, but firm. Just like the Surfer's personality. Action, action, action, action. As Doc Ock said in Spider-Man 2. " Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seat belts" This film is going to move. Is it June 15th yet ?
