Thanks. :whatever: Now everybody here at work thinks I'm gay.

J/K :woot:

No worries; my work here is done.

:D

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! Wow. What a hunk!!!!!

Kisses SB! (muuuuahh) I had no idea Dolph was that buff!!!! I love it!

Perfect Thor!

He was perfect; back in the 80's. :csad:

If there was someone out there who looks like that but can act like Bale; I say cast him.

Brad Pitt is also a no go due to his schedule unless he drops out of something. He is pretty well locked up right now.
I think he's only got Bastards on his plate right now. He has 3 other movies listed on IMDB, but they look like the kind of movies that are constantly pushed back and aren't likely to happen soon (if at all), except for maybe The Fighter.

If MARVEL goes for Brad Pitt, I'm skipping this movie.

But I doubt MARVEL can afford him.

If Sean Bean were younger, then he'd be perfect. I guess Gerard Butler is a good choice for me to play Thor since he has the physique and the screen presence like he did with 300.

I never said they would go for him (although I'd definitely give him a shot if he got it, the dude's a great actor), I was just responding to the claim that he was locked up.

Sean Bean = 5'10"

Gerard Butler = 6 ft.

Don't you think Thor should at least be taller than Iron Man? :cwink:

Also, there are more actors out there qualified to play Thor BESIDES those that were in TROY and 300.

Brad Pitt doesn't come up because he was in Troy. Brad Pitt comes up because he's a damn fine actor who Marvel reportedly wanted for the role way back in May.

I agree, there are more actors out there qualified to play Thor besides those that were in TROY and 300. And Kevin Nash isn't one of them. He may like movies and be a generally nice guy, but there is no chance Branagh will cast him and there is no chance Marvel will get the Super Shredder/The Russian to headline one of their huge film investments

He's highly overrated and his price doesn't match his talent.

Once again, you don't know this.

There's something called the "Audition process" where a director will test different actors for a specific role.

The director will sit with these candidates and read from the script with them.

Then, after discussing this over with the studio, the two parties will make their decision based on the best audition.

So until MARVEL announces their selection, you oughtta stop assuming who's not getting the role.

I can only hope Kevin is even considered for it.

Thanks for explaining the audition process to me. I had no idea how it worked!

You're right, I don't know this. For now, Kevin Nash can sit right next to Will Ferrell in the "maybe" pile. I also don't know that Will Ferrell won't get the part.

Honestly I would rather see Brad Pitt playing Loki

guys, i wish i could say more, but i will give u this......damn, sorry...i have 2 marvel bodyguards standing next to me right now....sighs.... in due time my friends...like i said BEFORE thanksgiving we will know who our THOR is and most of us will be pleased.....(sorry "snikt"...lol)

But i will say Kevin Nash will be great as an asgardian warrior/viking/barbarian.... Thor will need some big guys to beat up on....

Are you sure we will be pleased. Aside from Nash will NOT be Thor, we don't all agree on much. I say 6'2"... some else says 6'4".... I don't know.

I'll stick with my guess for lack of anything else to go on. I would be alright with that. As long as it's not HHH or Nash. :oldrazz:

You are so full of ****

I say we hold him to that.

If no actor is mentioned by Thanksgiving, we'll get Hunter or Dog Lips to change broblacksteel's user name to "LiArLiArPaNtZoNFiRe" :oldrazz:

All the **** about Kevin Nash in this thread is freaking embarrassing.

What you gonna do? People loooove these wrestlers..

Yet no one is attacking him like they did Pluto?! Is there a double standard? seriously enough with the wrestlers already! Lets focus on real actors okay! It is just not gonna happen! KB will only use established actors unless we are talking bit players. I also agree Brian Blessed would be a great choice for Odin. Really enough with the wrestlers already. Dwayne Johnson was the exception to the rule.:whatever:

Not just an exception. He was in some early generic knockaround movies and a few small budget drama pieces where he had the chance to cut his teeth on and prove screen presence and find niche acting style.

Should I take that offensively? :whatever:

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you do not know who or what Kenneth Branagh will use for this film.

You are making typical assumptions based on your lack of respect for wrestlers, which isn't very nice of you.

Geee Ronny such harsh language.....thnxgiving is a rough estimate i stated DUE to the time table in which a re-write with director's approval hopefully will take place, now IF everything goes well we will get a casting announcement before thnxgiving....BUT dont cut the dogs loose on me if it's after.

Either way, like i said most of us will be happy due to Kenneth is a real actor/a serious director and he will choose a REAL actor as well.

Maybe this will help also, marvel will NOT hire an A-list star for thor, POSSIBLY captain america. Why? A-list minimum for movies are $20mill and above (hint NOOOOO BRAD PITT). RDJ, and Ed norton were NOT considered A-list, they were JUST great actors... none of them were getting more than $10-17mill, marvel has a salary limit.

It wont be an unknown....too risky, i would say the b/c list is a real expectation for contenders.. we will all know in the next 2mths guys.... patience...

I am a fanboy as well and i cant wait for the announcement so THOR can officially roll into production next year. I think. K.B. will do for THOR what Chris Nolan did for the TDK, (a sense or realism and not too cheesy) lord of the rings meets batman begins.....sounds like a good combo?
