To bad bodybuilders can't act. Jay Cutler the current Mr. Olympia lookwise would be a good Thor. But unfortunately to my knowledge he has never acted.

I like Daviid Wenham as Thor.

He's 6'0" a lil too short

He's blonde, has blue eye, and he looks great for a guy who's over 40

He's already bulked up to the max, he was in 300 so yeah.

I really like Karl Urban, I think he's a very talented actor... but he's just too dark to be Thor. Even if they dyed his hair and ripped out his 5 o'clock shadow, he'd still be dark and broody. Thor should be blonde and wise in an old fashioned, almost ignorant (of the modern world) sort of way, if that makes sense.

I can't think of anyone who would fill that right now.

And the wrestlers can at least play smaller characters. Unless this movie pulls a 300 but for about a year, making every actor casted gain like 50 or 60 lbs.

You make a good point about Urban being too 'dark' though - A lot of this 'Urban for Thor' originates from his appearance in LOTR where he had a beard. People never seemed to stop and think what he'd look like under it.

As it happens I've said before that I think he's got the wrong type of face/jaw anyway for Thor - add to that his stubble 'shadow' ........Unless they were to use a bearded Thor in the film, Urban doesnt fit imo.

And even then he'd have a helluva job to convince........

Matthew G Taylor can act (even says he's taking classes) not sure how much better than HHH tho.

For some reason I get the feeling Marvels gonna cast someone terrible like Ben McKenzie and do a young Thor movie which will turn out like Eragon or some thing.

I just like that he's a cooler Superman. Plus I have a soft spot for old school mythology of any kind. It's why I like characters like Hercules, Ares, and in DC's case Wonder Woman.

Sega's suposed to have the rights to Thor, last I read Sega's thor game should be out by 2010. Didn't say if it was going to be Movie related tho.

I'm thinking that they will have a Younger Thor in the movie, but, I don't really think the movie's going to be a Son of Asgard type film.
They might have a young Thor and an older Thor.
