I assumed they meant the producers of Chuck, myself.

He was asked to audition for the role of Thor. I don't think that would be a minor role in a movie called Thor. Meanwhile, Chuch was almost cancelled last year, from dude's own mouth. So I'm not sure he story makes much sense.

A big summer blockbuster movie would probably get him more exposure than an NBC show, regardless of which role he's in. NBC ain't exactly setting the rating charts on fire.

Also, as a main star of a tv show, they couldnt exactly keep doing a series without him, so they may well have put production on hold for him, whereas the movie could have easily recast him.

Well, he's probably got something in his contract that would prevent him from holding up production on the show that way.

probably so about the chuck show corp since he is the lead star of the show and the show is all about him pretty much. He could just leave for 3-4 months and all that. Now it could have been a different thing if maybe chuck's mid season filming hiatus has started when thor's starts up in jan. So then maybe they could have him shot all his scenes at a shorter time. So then when show went back into filming they could move onto other stuff. Then later when chuck would probably be on season hiatus break for him to return for reshots.

Also the characters that Thor interacts with on earth. Although, I don't think there is many alongside Jane Foster & Nick Fury. But with Nick Fury, they could bring characters from different comics series that included Nick.
