I was actually sorta confused by Thor in SI, I figured with the Odinforce, he'd be going like, "Doo whacka doo whacka doo" with a smile on his face as literally thousands of Skrulls turned to green sludge around him.

Apparently Odin was a little less than cosmic?

But agreed. Thor was meant to be like, "THE MAN," and I happen to enjoy it when they portray him as such.

You know what's worse? I dun hurd rumors he's joining an Avengers team, which means Bendis will get his claws into him, and we know how Bendis likes to depower his big guns.

Unless he joins the Mighty Avengers, in which case I would be ecstatic. Slott mentioned on another thread that he wouldn't want to write a Thor series because he'd have to do tons of research into myths and such, but as part of the Mighty Avengers, he could ignore all of that and just stick to Thor as the badass powerhouse he should be. Plus, imagine the fun of Thor and Hercules together on the same team.

I just saw Kieron Gillen is writing Dark Avengers: Ares, too. I guess he's become the go-to myth heroes guy at Marvel.

I 'unno. I think it'd definitely be better than the emo-trip of New Avengers.

But that Hercules/Thor idea? It made my woman parts go a'flutter.

I don't really think it looks that bad. Though I haven't seen much of Tan's art.

The face looks like crap but other than that it ain't bad.

Covers aren't the best way to judge an artist. Personally, every time I've seen Billy Tan's interior artwork, it's been pretty sloppy and not very pleasant to look at.

And with covers, usually artists put a lot more work into single pieces like that. My impression is, it doesn't carry through with interior art most of the time.

The greatest insult to me was Thor losing against Rulk.

Technically, he won in the next issue. He had Rulk at his mercy. But that doesn't excuse the incident we shall not speak of in the previous issue.

All right, fine, after magically remembering that he can hit harder, Thor totally mopped the floor with Rulk until the Hulk chased him away so he could finish the job himself. Happy?

He requested a certain amount of time for Thor to stand on its own, which Marvel gave him, but when that time was up, he still didn't want to do crossovers and such, so he left the title.

Is Thor older? I don't think we've ever learned what Loki and Thor's ages are relative to each other. They've always been treated as being right around the same age.

I've always seen Loki as a few years younger; the way he sees Thor just seems like the weenie younger brother.

Yeah, in the next issue of Hulk. Thor was like, "lulz, I wasn't really trying before, I can totally hit harder," and then he proceeded to hurt Rulk immensely. The Hulk broke it up and sent Thor away so he could fight Rulk himself, though.
