Do not bring up the travesty that is WWH.

Reed Richards has 24 hours to come up with a gadget to stop the Hulk and that's what he comes up with?

Please.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

To Reed's credit, before that, the only known way to safely subdue the Hulk was to have the Sentry calm him down.

Given the vast mischaracterization Thor suffers in most other series. Yah. =(

Well, he's done well once or twice.

Think of it this way Corp, Thor has given the Surfer an ass kickin' once or twice as well.

Yeah, ironically, he's had a better record against the Surfer, who should by all rights be more powerful than the Hulk. But it always comes back to inconsistency. Thor's powers are among the least consistent in comics.

Yeah. He did really well in consistency right before Ragnarok, when he gained his father's power, and beat the crap out of people with zero effort in everybody book he came across.

If Stan were writing him he could do anything. Time travel. Mass teleportation. I love it when he heals people with his hammer too.

 :D

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Yeah, Thor bordered on '50s Superman-level craziness in Stan's initial Journey Into Mystery comics. His hammer could do whatever it needed to do at any given moment.

But Odin was incredibly oblivious back then. He wouldn't even know Loki was gone until Thor brought him back bound and gagged after trying to take over the world for the fiftieth time. :D

What would -I- do with a son who had the same "gifts" I do?

Easy. I'd see just why he feels arrogant with a good ol' fashioned challenge.

Which, by that time, I'd probably be well past my challenging prime, so it'd be a good excuse to build something that explodes, and hopefully, not be like my dad and actually be the victor myself.

Nice one TMT:woot:

You know, I always thought Odin being the All-Father meant Odin was supposed to see all, but a friend corrected me on that some years ago.
Odin used Huginn and Muninn or a magic pool of water to help him see into places far away, unlike Heimdall who can see practicaly any where.
Loki was always sneaking around behind Odin's back it seemed because Odin couldn't see him like Heimdall might if he where watching Loki all the time.

I know Vikings feared both Wolves and Ravens to some extent. It was more an unsettling fear with the ravens, I mean how would you feel with a couple ravens watching over your shoulder that could be Odin watching you? :woot:

Odin also had that throne on the highest point of Asgard where he could look out over the whole world. I can't remember its name now, though.

Oh yeah. Didn't Heimdall sit there a couple times after Odin fell to Surtur? Jeez... he prolly became omniscient.
