Bill's sort of crazy at the moment. But it was a logical and well written fall, so I'm loving it.

:(

But... Surfer said there's only a chance that fleet could stop him, not a guaranteed deal.

Maybe Galactus should just eat Stormbringer. It's not like Marvel hasn't really tried to f*** up just what Galactus eats or anything recently.

I love it. Galactus has been through a lot lately, so it makes sense that he'd be weakened right now. I can only assume this takes place before he scarfs down the Oldpower of Sakaar. Continuity (especially cosmic continuity) FTW.

Yeah.

I'm sorta liking that they're playing up Galactus' place since Annihilation, with him deseparate for food.

However, I'm still sorta miffed they made the energy Galactus consumes go from vague to, "Wtf? He can eat ANYTHING and get power from it? Why planets then?"

I think he still primarily needs energy from living planets but can sustain on other types for a short time

I was wondering if it was like candy. But it seems a lot similar to when he just flat out eats planets.

When did they change it? Galactus has always needed planets, as far as I know, especially planets with life.

It used to be he had to eat planets which could support life.

But then it started moving around. It became just any planet, then elemental forces, life itself, and the force of gravity.

Odd. Well, if it's any consolation, it seems he's back to just planets now. The degree of life on the planet contributes to how satisfying the planet is for him, too. Like when Skaar hit him with the Oldpower, which is basically a symbiotic energy field between planets and the Shadow race, it gave Galactus a mighty hankerin' for more Oldpower-infused planets. So he ate Sakaar rather than, like, sucking Oldpower energy out of Shadow people or whatever. So the planets are still central to his diet now.

Well, that's cool. But how the heck does Oldpower give Galactus strength? =/

Granted, it could be several energies that just coincide with life which could partially empower Galactus, given the vague knowledge on how Galactus eats.

But apparently, he also eats raw energy. I forgot about that.

They got rid of the, "He converts it into the mysterious unknown energy" into straight elemental energy or something.

The Oldpower is tied to the planet. I don't know how it works, but that's the story behind it. The Oldpower is part of the planet and Shadows are able to access it somehow.

Bill better watch it. He's got a taste of Mjolnir before... Stormbreaker might make a good snack.

Reed's speech is a bit ironic at the end there, given that Galactus so often escapes punishment for eating worlds because people consider him a force of nature. No one would take pity on a hurricane that destabilizes and evaporates or a tsunami that calms back down into placid ocean.

Stark wanted to let him die but he was SO outnumbered. Cap w/ Thor doing whatever he wants, Reed w/ Ben doing whatever he wants and Dr. Strange said...

Nuh uh.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

That was pre-Odinforce. That was just Thor's life he sucked up. Dude probably took 20 years off of Thor. Which, granted, doesn't matter but still... the principle of the thing. :o
