Yep. Consider: Thor relaunched in August 2007. We'll be getting #603, which is actually the 16th issue in his current series, this week. That means it's taken 25 months to get 16 issues of a so-called "monthly" series.

That's just f***ing sad.

It actuallt seems like it's taken longer to get that many issues, hopefully the pace picks up under the new team.

It was slow for the first year, but it became utterly ridiculous this year. I think we've actually only had about 4 or 5 issues as of the 9th month of this year.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Gillen and Tan take a little longer than 1 month to get each of their issues out, too. Part of the reason this year's issues have been delayed so much was apparently JMS working out when he would leave and who his replacement would be, and Gillen is only a fill-in for an arc or two, so if they don't already have their post-Gillen replacement ready, they may have to draw Gillen's run out, too.
