That was awful. I mean really awful. That was a knock out that came about because both guys have no idea how to box

I sometimes wonder what's the point in people even buying these pay per views sometimes.

You can only see McGregor pull off feats like this on PPV now ;) .

Plus Rockhold's destruction of Chris Weidman.

If you're not a striker, don't try to be like one. They never learn!

Watching Rockhold vs Weidman, that's the way Silva should have brutalised him on the feet. Rockhold's head, body & leg kicks really busted Weidman in that 2nd round & set the tone for the rest of the fight.

Weidman is tough I'll give him that, but people read far too much into the fact he KO'd Silva.

Actually like him more after the defeat because of how well he took it.

Rockhold is the truth! I knew that when I saw him on Strikeforce. I think people were looking at that loss to Vitor and judging him for that but I think he could hold onto the title for a minute. I like Weidman but as soon as he upset Silva for that belt, a lot of guys were salivating for the chance to fight him because he didn't look invincible.

As far as Mcgregor, this has to be one of the best and worst things for the UFC. It builds up Mcgregor as one of their top stars with so many of them out but 13 seconds?!

Yeah, Weidman looked soft, as did his kicks. He looked like he'd lost fifteen pounds of muscle. Saw no energy from that guy. Wondering if there's something behind it? Congrats to Rockhold though...

I was hoping for more than thirteen seconds with Aldo/McGregor! But that's the fight game... you never know!

That was one of the biggest upsets I've ever seen. Woah. That hit had some crazy precision to it.

I told one of my friends that if McGregor knocked out Aldo in less than a minute I'd jump off the balcony of the apartment we were in.

So I'm posting this from the grave! Death wasn't so bad. The Grim Reaper is a cool guy. He took me to a cool spot where they have some good ass hot wings. He is definitely getting a good Christmas gift.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Romero has a 0.1% chance of beating Rockhold. He almost has to hit a power punch, otherwise, dude will dump and get stopped, or Rockhold will coast. We'll see where 185 goes from here. Kind of want to just let Rockhold get the Belfort-Silva winner.

Romero looked like **** against Souza at UFC 194, really looked terrible. For a guy with his sort of backround I'd expect his cardio to be on point, but in a lot of the fights I've seen him in I think his cardio looks sub-par for an athlete fighting at the level he is. He barely answered the calls for each round he looked so exhausted.

He could do with laying off the protein shakes & possibly steroids in order to lose some of that muscle because he's only hurting himself I feel.

It's crazy seeing Dos Anjos at the top doing so well. I remember when he was pretty much a lower card, gatekeeper type guy, but he's really grown over the years. That's one of the best things about sports. Guys get better or worse over time, and you never know who. Him vs. Conor would be interesting to say the least.

I thought it before, and that fight reaffirmed my suspicions that RDA is a bad fight for anyone not named Khabib.

McGregor's coach seems happy on Twitter with how the fight turned out. I think McGregor is sure he can beat anyone, and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if McGregor fights RDA next in March. I think that's a little more likely than the Edgar fight.

Apart from GSP vs. Penn, has there ever been another champion vs. champion match?

I just don't see McGregor fighting at lightweight going well for him.

I think his grappling ability is still somewhat of a question mark, the Mendes fight showed he's got decent TD defense but when Mendes did get him down he did eat half a dozen shots & didn't really look to do anything.

Size wise, he is more of a LW than Edgar & Edgar did very well.. even Dos Anjos is quite a small LW in terms of build/height. Cutting to 145 looks like it takes a lot of focus for McGregor and he looks especally drained at weigh ins. He reportedly walks around at between 165-175lbs which is pretty average for a LW.

Dos Anjos I think is as good a matchup as he's ever going to get at 155lbs if he wants a crack at title... but personally I hope he sticks around at 145lbs at least to face Edgar.

EA Sports UFC 2 will have over 250 fighters.....including CM Punk.

That's a good-sized roster. Considering EA Sports UFC only launched with about 100 fighters. I think there are currently 550 or so fighters under contract by ZUFFA. Now I'm sure a sizable chunk of those dudes are the smaller name fighters who are now just popping up on those international Fight Pass shows, etc

But 250 is a good starting size considering EA Sports will offer a bunch of free DLC fighters like the first game.

So Mousasi is out, and now my man Anderson Silva is in February 27th against Bisping. Guess I'll be getting Fight Pass next month. I like Mousasi so if he gets a decent opponent that'd be okay they've given him a load of tough fights, but the sport needs gatekeepers.

I think Mousasi is trying to stay on the card and get a new opponent.

Not liking Bisping's chances. These are the fights he always loses.

Silva vs Bisping kinda makes good sense for both fighters. Silva hasn't fought a proper or ranked middleweight since he broke his leg in his second fight with Weidman & that is over 3 years ago so rightfully is no longer ranked in top 10 middleweights as a result of his non-activity for healing & then his useless fight with Diaz which became even more useless because both of them were morons.

Brings me to Bisping who has kinda entered into the official middleweight gatekeeper role as he only ever seems to lose to the "real" title contenders himself & yet is still talented enough to make a run himself.. I don't think he will, but he's just lacking that 'it' quality to ever be a UFC champion.

It's a good fight for both involved, better than Mousasi/Bisping IMO which I'd no real interest in seeing. Bisping wants to fight Silva because he considers Silva the GOAT & a win over him would propel him to within a fight of a title shot even though Silva isn't ranked & a win for Silva would bring him back into the UFC's top 10 MW's.

Very happy about the change in opponent.

Just wanted to say regarding the UFC 2 EA Game, I hope they've fixed the non-existent ground game issue from the last game. 1 button press from any position to get back to your feet & an over complicated stick control to keep them on the ground? Please, just look at THQ's UFC Undisputed ground game controls, you've to actually use some skill to get back to your feet & likewise to keep someone there.

I've no problem with the 1 stick click to get back to your feet, but it should be risky to do & more easily countered. Should be the equivalent of someone trying to explode escape in real life, thus draining a lot of energy with more tells that it's about to happen.
