Whoah Ive been looking through lots of Wolverine mask cosplay, but never saw that one. Do you still have the link from where it's from? I was going to make my own latex mask after I saw a tutorial for monster masks on youtube.

Done with this. Last version I'm doing of Jackman's early promo photo. The smudge tool can be a bigger ***** than I thought.

ha ha. he will have that in the game. and from what i know there's been a few 3-D adventure games with wolvie in the yellow and blue. but in the game itll be the yellow and blue ON the hi-res jackman model.

Yeah people always say "WHY DA EFF does Wolverine need a mask hes not concealing his identity like Batman!" Batman maybe concealing his identity and adding lots of helpful gadgets, but what do the pointy bat ears do for him?

If its for intimidation, Id say thats the same reason Wolverine would wear one. Wolverine is sick enough to wear a mask while killing someone. No body likes their last thoughts to be "Am I going to be killed by a guy in a goofy comic mask?"

I dont think he should wear it lots of scenes in any future installment. I think it'd be cool for a stealth or action scene. Just an homage.

I still think Wolverine's costume is way too cheesy to work on film.

I think it can be done if they relate it to his Japanese history. It's especially striking when he's taking his revenge for Mariko. If someone can manage to design the costume in a more Japanese inspired fashion then I think it would work well. A brown ninja outfit with black tiger stripes on the ribs and shoulders or something. Keep the yellow out and do something Shredder inspired and this guy can be one scary mofo.

When people think of Wolvie wearing a costume in the movies, they think it has to be yellow and blue and that it has to be spandex. I think its pretty close minded. It also depends on the feel of the movie. It might not work with the previous X movies' feel. But there are other super hero movies in which the character dont exactly have "practical" suits either.

The mask will never happen in the current X-Films. Maybe in a reboot, but no one in the current X-Films has really worn a costume and they're definitely are not going to want to cover up Hugh's money making face.

you're right about that. im thinking if the origins movie feels different, and it is actually starting to feel like it from what has been said and shown, a mask in a later sequel might be possible. but as for jackman wearing the mask? its not likely.


i think if theres a reboot they will definitely put the mask in bc thats the sorta thing you could get away with, with a reboot, and it would help to further from the other movies. somewhere jackman said there will be a time when he'll be done with the wolverine character. if theres a new guy fillin in the shoes, maybe theyll make it a departure from the other X movies and they might just throw in the mask with that.


edit: in my posts im just talking a scene or two. i cant imagine wolverine being in the whole movie with a mask.

I was working on full costume but it was really hard to get the legs to look right...then my wacom tablet broke...and I think that I might have probably, maybe kinda seen something similar in an old comic - yellow and brown costume with normal trousers. Maybe someone can confirm this...

There was something similar in Ultimate. It was the gold and black top, but I thonk the trousers were black, where yours was jeans. The black pants didn't look that great to me either, like he just grabbed something out of his closet on his way out to the mission.
