what's so bad about Jubs?![]()
she was a 90s character and was alright for her time as the new young cool character but she's not 13 anymore and that appeal of her is gone. I dont think the writers know what to do with her as an aged character bc she coudlnt stay young forever. I think she's had a tough time transitioning into a young adult
As much as I love Jubi, you're right. Nobody knows what to do with the girl. She was created for the 'Clueless' generation, and that generation is pushing 30. That's why she's actually been de-aged a couple of times (I think she was 15 when she joined the X-Men, 16 and 17 during Generation X, 16 again during Austen's Uncanny run, and 15 again during her 'miniseries'). I guess I miss her so much because I have tons of ideas on what to do with her. Oddly enough, almost none of those ideas involve the rest of the X-Men.she was a 90s character and was alright for her time as the new young cool character but she's not 13 anymore and that appeal of her is gone. I dont think the writers know what to do with her as an aged character bc she coudlnt stay young forever. I think she's had a tough time transitioning into a young adult

How about this - whats NOT wrong with Jubs?![]()
^And COMICBOY I am sure if Prof X was real...he would think you were all that and a bag of cheetos. He would most likely ask if you kiss your mother with that mouth also......
t: When it comes to telepaths, I would be okay with him kicking even Jean's ass. I love all telepaths, they should all be different. Emma is a telepath in her own right. Jean, what has she really done? Really? She's kinda pointless. If someone tells me what she's done with that power, then I may change my mind, but the only good telepaths I've seen are Prof X, and Emma.thank you for that. Jean was stated as the most powerful telepath when Xavier lost his powers to Onslaught and you just proved whyI can't believe I'm doing this...
Telepathy Jean:
a) Took her entire Mind and passed it into Emma's body to avoid dying (Uncanny 282-283)
b) Found out who Onslaught was (X-Men 54)
c) Shielded the entire X-Men from Onslaught's power (Onslaught: Marvel Universe)
d) Searched the entire globe WITHOUT Cerebro (uncanny 352)
e) Took Charles Xavier's mind and "held it" in herself, latter she dispersed it into every mutant on Earth and then put it together to save him from Nova (Imperial arc in X-Men)
Just to name a few. And bear in mind I HATE Jean Grey
ACtually I bet the most powerful telepath back then was Nate Grey, he just lacked her training

I beleive New X-men 126. It was when Cassandra Nova staged her attack on the Shiar empire and brought it to earthWhich issue is "e)" from?
Pretty much. Onslaught was the result of previous writers constantly writing Xavier as perhaps a bit too goody-goody. So they made him into one of Marvel's toughest villains. Since then, however, writers have been having a ball by turning Chuck into a devious, underhanded mastermind. One or two of those "big reveals" about his past were enough. "Deadly Genesis" was taking things about 10 steps too far.I could have sworn there was already a Professor X thread..but i think the character has been written poorly since the 90`s..since Onslaught.
You know, I kinda like him crippled. Brings him down a bit..makes him humble. I also agree that X was powerful enough.
This is soo true. him being crippled took him from being omnipatent to being relatable. It balanced the scales. And Prof X i think shouldn't be given any more power then he has....i mean come on, he has an infinity gem and the worlds strongest telepathic mind. How much stronger can you get?
I agree. The thing with mutants is either they have too much power, or not enough. Phoenix was awesome - then they had her eating worlds for mid-afternoon snacks. Wolverine is the BEST character out there...IMO...and they have him healing from his flesh being burned off his skin. They started that whole power thing with Iceman too....but they pulled back quick. I think Chuck is good enough with the power he has had in the past.
