LMAO that's great

What if Marvel decided to dump the FF on television and give it to Jeph Loeb and co. like they did with Inhumans and just brought X-Men to the big screen?

I think there's next to zero chance of this happening. The FF are the ones who started it all and Kevin Feige and others know that and know their importance and place in creating a true MCU. Feige and others have made numerous comments to indicate how well they understand that.

The Inhumans are in a gray area. They're relatively minor charactors. Back before Spider-man was in the MCU and when Marvel had a relatively limited number of characters and no X-Men, it made sense to see if they could do something with Inhumans.

But they must have been on the bubble and when things like GOTG worked so well, Marvel must have decided they didn't really have the time or interest in making the Inhumans film that had been announced, so they turned it over to the TV side.

I can't see that happening with FF. I think they, along with DR. Doom, Galactus, Silver Surfer, Annihilus etc. will all be integrated into the MCU with the other major marvel characters.

Speaking of the Vertigo Sandman, has Tim Burton ever expressed interest in the project? Because that always seemed like the one comic book property that would be perfect for him. Especially because he'd once again get to have a main character who looks vaguely like himself.

I wish I could agree. Tim Burton would have been great for it back in the day. But, his current body of work shows a laziness and lack of creativity. While he was once an innovator, he now simply imitates his own style. This saddens me because he has made some of my favorite movies :csad:

Well, Depp was, like, everyone’s #1 for Dream at one point.

Oh heavens under no circumstances cast Depp in anything

If they want to go for an older Johnny then I would say Scott Eastwood would be perfect for Johnny Storm/Human Torch but if you want to go younger then I would say either Dylan O'Brien or Logan Lerman as Johnny

Strong no to Scott Eastwood for Johnny Storm. That guy can’t act his way out of a paper bag. He may be the son of Clint Eastwood but he certainly did not inherit his dad’s talents.

O'Brien and Lerman are still 6 years older than Tom Holland. Johnny is suppose to be a kid like Peter.

As for Eastwood, maybe he could play Blastaar

Then in that case Holland is born in 1996 so you want an actor that is born either in 1994, 1995, 1996 or 1997 well then in that case I would go with Asa Butterfield as Johnny Storm

I'm not a fan of the show but the kid that plays Henry Danger on Nickelodeon always struck me as Johnny-ish. Kid is only 18 isn't really well known or some fanboy fave. Jace Norman I think.

Dylan Sprayberry would be another he played the teenage Clark Kent in the DCEU film Man of Steel now he would be another casting choice for Johnny

How about Charlie Plummer for Johnny?

He is actually not a bad choice either

Now for Sue Storm on the other hand I would definitely go with Sienna Miller, January Jones or Blake Lively

I’ve often wondered that. How long does something have to lie dormant before you can do a soft reboot and slide the character back into the world, hopefully better?

I think at least 5 years. BB started development in 2003 and I wouldn't have minded if the development had started in 2002 but sooner then that it would really feel like they could/should have and *really were* just making another sequel to the old series.

January Jones has the charisma of a plank of wood.

She was horrible in X-Men First Class and should be kept away from the MCU.

Yeah do we really need an older Johnny? The whole point of him is he’s like the little brother of the team.

Johnny's age is a good point. Will Feige want to do the Peter/Johnny bromance in the MCU? If yes, Johnny will probably be whatever age Peter is when the rights revert. It might slightly affect the ages of the other FF too, since I can't imagine them not casting a Reed/Sue/Ben that are at least a tiny bit older than Johnny.

:funny: I remember while watching Madmen I thought: "She's either a brilliant actress - playing a cold, emotionless shrew magnificently... or she's simply a cold, emotionless shrew."

After seeing her in other roles, I began to fear it was the latter.

Jon Hamm as Reed, yes, but please no January Jones for Sue.

Johnny being so close in age to the others in both Fox treatments was a big problem for me.

Seeing Tom Holland playing a young Spider-man really has me hoping we'll get something similar for Johnny when Marvel has a chance.

How about Clint Eastwood for Johnny? :o

That would also answer the question of whether we really need an older Johnny.

I agree.

Sue practically raised Johnny herself and is more like his mother than sister a lot of the time. He always saw Reed as a father figure and he's like the annoying little brother to Ben.
Having him being close to the others in age ruins that dynamic.

Reed and Ben are the oldest
Sue is at most 6 years younger than them (but can easily be changed to around the same age lose nothing)
Johnny is 5-10 years younger than Sue
