Ha yeah same.
And if there was a choice between Krasinski and Issac I would choose Issac. Especially if theres a dancing scene

I still dont like Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. I really wish they stuck with Emily Blunt.

Blunt lost the role because she had signed a contract with Fox, which studio rather maliciously forced her to be in that Jack Black Gulliver movie in order to prevent her from working with Marvel. There was no way that Marvel Studios could delay its plans just because an actress wasn't available. It turned out to be a lucky break for Natasha fans like myself because Scarlett has been wonderful in the role.
After the Gulliver debacle, Marvel offered Blunt the role of Peggy Carter, which she turned down when the studio wisely convinced Chris Evans to play Captain America instead of the completely unsuitable Krasinski. This was another lucky break since it allowed the delightful Hayley Atwell to play a kickass Agent Carter on both the big and small screen.
Marvel has dodged that Blunt bullet twice. Hopefully, the streak will continue along with the Krasinski shutout. I have nothing against them as people, but there isn't a single role in the MCU that I can imagine them playing.
On second thought, I take that back. Krasinski would be the perfect Paste Pot Pete, while Blunt could carry off Thundra with aplomb. (I really do want to see the Frightful Four at some point so I'll take whatever Marvel wants to give me.)
New poster here, glad to say this is my first stop. Love the Fantastic Four and can't wait for them to finally be given their just due! MCU would have never been complete without the first family. They're just too integral to the Marvel Universe.
I wouldn't go as far as you, but I'd be just so indifferent if Marvel announced Krasinkski and Blunt as Reed and Sue.
Would I be against them joining the MCU sometime in the future? No, not really. I do like John Krasinkski quite a bit but I don't want him to play Reed Richards.
As I said, they're undoubtedly nice people but I'm not interested in them for any role I care about. Blunt's charisma-free turn as a failed manic pixie dream girl in The Adjustment Bureau soured me on her in anything other than a cold action role (Looper, Edge of Tomorrow). Nothing I've seen her in has ever convinced me that she can portray a full range of emotions. It's easy to imagine her being a physically and emotionally tough character, and that is something I'd like to see added to Sue's persona. Unfortunately, however, Blunt seems less apt at portraying caring and sensitivity.
As for Krasinski, he came far too close to being cast as Captain America for my comfort. I was convinced that would be a disaster and remain so to this day. He might be good as Reed, but I have my doubts that he could convincingly handle the science fiction scientist shtick as well as RDJ, Mark Ruffalo and the adorably precocious Letitia Wright. In contrast to Blunt, he seems too soft and squishy to play the cerebral, often aloof and sometimes off-puttingly brilliant Dr. Richards.

If we get Matt Smith for Reed then I hope we get his girlfriend for Sue![]()
Matt Smith and Lily James. Now that's a real life couple that I can get behind as Reed and SueI'm totally with you there. I like the movies I've seen Emily Blunt in, but I'm just not big on her as an actress.
I like Krasisnki, but I don't see him as Reed.
My personal picks for Dr. Richards are Oscar Isaac, Adrien Brody or Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

t:I'm all-in for Isaac. He would nail both the dedicated, sometimes obsessed scientist and the pioneering adventurer aspects of Reed's persona. Isaac also has the sort of charisma that would give Reed a charm that the previous portrayals lacked. Johnny would still be the rock star of the group, but Reed has to be able to lead not only the FF but the MCU's scientific community as a whole. He is the smartest person in the room, after all.
I would really love to see a jewish actor play the thing. Thats one of the things Im most excited about
Its because I only really know him from The Crown but Smith is totally Von Doom to me. The stony features, the air of superiority and aristocratic flair, the low mum of his voice how well he plays the the highs and lows of a mans pride solidify him as a candidate.
I gotta imagine Doom is more appealing a role than Richards.
Plus he reminds me of young Ralph Fiennes, who, circa the mid-90s, feels like the platonic ideal for Doom.

I think that's part of the reason a lot of people like the idea of Seth Rogen as Thing. I'm not sure how he'd be truthfully and I'd only really want him for Ben if Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Reed since they'd have chemistry and already played best friends twice. Not to mention they're friends in real life.
