I think Blunt has a warmth of sorts to her.

If you stuck her next to an ice cube, yes. Or next to someone totally unsuitable for Sue like Gina Carano or Ronda Rousey.

There are plenty of other more suitable candidates for Sue.

If Blunt was a great candidate for Black Widow, then how does that also make her a good candidate for Sue? It's not like they have the same qualities.

 That's cool, and it's probably intentional, but it probably doesn't mean much. I doubt Feige was consulted and this probably has nothing to do with his plans to introduce the FF. It's just a cool little nod,

If the Baxter building is just now under construction that means Reed has to already be in New York right? And didn't buy Avengers tower.

No Iron Fist spoilers in here please. Not everyone binge watches on the first night it comes out.

I want Ronda Rousey for Thundra.

If it really is Canon, I would assume Reed Richards is supposed to be building it. But I just don't see it as being "official". If the same thing was in a film, I'd take more notice, but I think it's just some writers having fun as opposed to a real introduction.

Its fun to hypothesise. IF its canon. How long has Reed been in New York for? What brought him there? Business? Some science thing. Why now?

We'll probably get her for Sue now. She'll boss Reed, Ben and Johnny around and flex her muscles if they don't fall in line. :o

That would be fun to see. She is the most powerful member after all.

I wonder how they’re going to do the cosmic radiation which gives them powers? And is there a way to foreshadow that? Maybe as an after credits sequence?

Just watched the Mary Poppins Returns trailer. That definitely confirms Blunt is not right for Sue. Just because she plays a nanny doesn't immediately give her those soft, nurturing maternal qualities. She has a certain cool aloofness about her which is different to how Julie Andrews was.

She seems more like a Russian spy posing as a nanny. That's why Blunt would've been awesome for Black Widow and still feels like a missed opportunity.

I disagree. Though I do think she would've been a solid Natasha.

Based on the Marry Poppins trailer, yep...Blunt is still my pick for Sue

Let’s just stop talking about Blunt, please? She’s already stated her lack of interest in the genre and there’s not much passion for her to be Sue. It’s just getting annoying at this point. Are there others you all might like to share? Evan Rachel Wood, perhaps?

I've already stated my favourite for the role is Lily James.

And I've mentioned Blunt because others always bring her up as being the best for every superheroine role from Captain Marvel to Sue to Wonder Woman and more.

Emily Blunt when she is starring in movies alongside her husband becomes the living embodiment of Sue and likewise John is becoming more and more Reed like especially with his recent star turn as Jack Ryan

Personally I think Blunt had more gravitas for the role than some others. I'd kinda like to see that presence for the character.

Blunt has been fan cast for almost everything at this point and some roles she's not fit for, Sue being one of them. Sue I see being much closer to someone like Lily James. Energetic, fun and warm as opposed to a bossy authoritative like Emily Blunt

Moving on, I doubt we’ll see Doom in this universe. It’ll probably be like how we won’t see Osborn in this since he’s been used in 2 reboots by now. Super Skrull would be my pick, given his personal history with the team, since he did murder the Storm’s father in cold blood. Would be redundant since we’re getting a Skrull villain in CM but I don’t care.

Why would we not get Doom after they get the rights back to the greatest Marvel villain of all? They would finally have the chance to do him right, and they don't even put him in their universe whatsoever? :loco:

Doom is to Marvel Villains what Spider-man is to Marvel heroes.

Not only will he show up in the MCU soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is the first of all the Fox characters to appear or at least be referenced.

The next Spider-Man is set in Europe, no?
