One of My Fave CDs...

My favorite album of all time is without question:

stories_from_the_city_lightbox7_lig.jpg

It effects me in ways that are difficult to articulate. I never tire of it. What more needs to be said?
Actually in light of discussing Brian Littrell there's more to be said here. This album is perfect. There isn't a single bad track on it. But most importantly, it's the most beautiful, life affirming thing I've ever heard. Even a Christian could appreciate this album, even though there's no God references or anything like that because it's about the beauty and wonder of life and love and sex and friendship and New York City. I firmly believe that everyone should listen to this album at least once. That doesn't mean I believe everyone will like it. But even if you dislike it, it's worth experiencing. I would recommend this album to everyone on the planet, from all walks of life, regardless of religious beliefs, race, sexual orientation or what have you. But that's just how I feel.

Shifting gears....

Out of all the great albums Ol' Blue Eyes recorded at Capitol, this is by far my favorite. Very mellow, mostly strings, and his voice is perfect. "P.S. I Love You" and "Blame It On My Youth" are two of the best songs he ever recorded.

Truth.

Neko Case has done some pretty kick ass Christian songs too.

So has Nick Cave.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow

12 years later, I'm still awed by it.

Word.

He's written some of the best Christian songs I've ever heard. Too bad most Christians would never bother to give him a listen. Probably because his other songs are about sex, murder, evil, and death.

Favorite albums of mine:
Less Than Jake- Hello Rockview

Alkaline Trio- From here to Infirmary

and pretty much any of Living Ends albums since their self-titled release.

Good choices. Less Than Jake is one of my favorite bands, and Hello Rockview is my favorite album of theirs. Alkaline Trio is good too, and From Here to Infirmary is their best album.

Anyway, my two favorite albums are Weezer's first two.

Not true, I'm a Christian. "The Mercy Seats," "Into Your Arms," and "From Her To Eternity" are three of the best songs ever. "The Carny" is epic.

Well, by most I meant the type of Christians who listen to Amy Grant. :o

At the Drive-In's Relationship of Command is what i call a truly epic album.

QFT

...also ANY album by Jawbreaker is amazing.

I must say though, that my favourite album of all time is Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of the posters involved in saving this thread from certain doom. I appreciate the levelheadedness, maturity, and wisdom some of you have displayed thus far. It really means a lot to me, and to the rest of the staff.

On that note, I'd like to share one of my favorite albums with you guys. It really warms my soul every time I put it into my walkman. It's groovy, without being too groovy. It's got a lot of heart, and the songs are catchy, safe, and clean. It's a truly wonderful collection of music, that always manages to brighten up my day. :)

My favourite album. I love how it's introspective without being self-absorbed.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Just perfect.

As a Brit (where the music comes from) I have NO IDEA who that first bloke is, that kicks this all off but I do hail the mentioning of TV on the Radio and that beautiful PJ Harvey album.

And here's mine:

Another album that is stunning in its beauty:

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet quite frankly.

NSync was better, anyway. Hell, I'll go so far as to say 98 Degrees had more soul (I thought they were an R&B group the first time I heard them).
I liked NSync's first album a lot, but their later efforts just got progressively worse (don't even get me started on Justin's solo career). As for 98 Degrees, I was never a diehard fan, although I did like their song "This Gift", from their Christmas album.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

.....Are you hating on Justified?

Justin Timberlake's solo stuff is lightyears better than anything N'Sync ever did.
