Hold on, I found a Michelle Branch song in my mass of downloads. I'm gonna try to listen to it...
If anyone is interested in some good pop, I highly (highly) recommend Kenna's albums New Sacred Cow and Make Sure They See My Face.

I like soft rock, among other genres. What's your point?Mal'Akai said:Interesting list. Only one will never be played on the Delilah radio show.
I've been thinking about buying Appetite for Destruction on iTune alot lately. As a hugh 80's fan, I wasn't particularly enamored with GnR initially but I have become a fan over the years. I'm still on the fence for their Chinese Democracy but I'm willing to listen to a few songs and see how it is.
Buy CD's! Do you realize how much money artists lose when people don't buy their CDs? We're talking about the difference between the yearly incomes of a Target store supervisor and a part-time McDonalds worker. That's thousands (but not tens of thousands) of dollars. Do you know what artists have to do to make up for those losses? A single TV commercial or an additional city on their tours. Don't make artists go through that. Buy the CDs.
I'll have to remember not to use so much irony on the Hype. So many people tend to miss it.From what I've learned about this issue, the majority of the money goes to the record companies and not the artists themselves, plus CDs are too expensive.
Dude, you've never heard of Pet Sounds? It's a masterpiece of pop music.Oh, and in reference to all these albums you guys have been posting, the only one I've recognized so far is the "White" album. I don't listen to metal or grunge, and my appreciation of alternative bands is rather limited. Most of my personal music collection is made up of soft rock, contemporary Christian, country, a few soundtracks, and the odd modern rock album (such as "Away from the Sun" by 3 Doors Down).
Amen to that. You know who has good cds? The Runaways. I could post an actual album cover here, but instead, I'm going to post this sexy picture of Joan Jett and Lita Ford...

Seriously, I want to get a time machine, go back to that exact moment, cover them both in cooking oil, and then do things that are illegal in some states to them.
He was joking.I like soft rock, among other genres. What's your point?
I'd call the majority of what you listen to "pop".I like soft rock, among other genres. What's your point?
It was kind of like that skit on Sesame Stret, "One of These Things is Not Like the Others." That's all.I like soft rock, among other genres. What's your point?

Well, the terms are virtually interchangable these days. Strictly speaking, the word "pop" originated as a shortened form of "popular", which could cover almost any genre.ShadowBoxing said:I'd call the majority of what you listen to "pop".
...'Deja Entendu' by Brand New. A masterpiece on so many levels.
