"One Universe" Marvel & DC Crossover RPG!

Ok, so I guess that the "^^" marks next to the player's names means that they are RPing multiple characters, right?

We could use some mutants. I think right now all we've got are Wolverine and Sabretooth.

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of some futuristic DC heroes. :o

That is correct

Alright, I need to discuss some more stuff with Librarian Thorne before I post, and I have to go to work in a little while...so chances are i'm not going to be able to post until later this evening :down

Im definitely glad I came back at the time I did. It seems like the story has finally started to melt into one. It's gotten pretty good.

Anyone going to help Hulk out by the way?

Here's a rough draft (very!) of the history of the One Universe:

There was a flash, and a boom. And two that were separate became one.

ONE UNIVERSE RPG HISTORY

The One Universe is a melding of the histories of both DC Comics and Marvel Comics. Every aspect of history is merged, every character affected.
1939-1946
In the 1940s, the so-called Golden Age of the Mystery Men. There, legends like the All-Star Squadron and the Justice Society of America fought evil the world over in the age of the World War. Captain America was a founding member of both teams, and Green Lantern, the Emerald Knight of Gotham City, stood as the shining example from his age. With the end of the war came the death of Captain America, a death of such great magnitude that it rocked the fledgling superhero community. Shortly afterwards, both the All-Star Squadron and the JSA disbanded in mourning. With the coming of the Cold War, the mystery men faded into obscurity.

2005-2006
The Superheroes Return & The Invasion of Earth
It began, fittingly enough, in New York City. There, a man gifted with the powers of a spider was seen, a marvel of his time. The appearance of the Spider-Man heralded the opening of the floodgates as dozens of costumed champions and horrible villains emerged. The Superman in Metropolis, the villainous Doom in Latveria, and ever more. The heroes were a disparate group, not acting in a unified manner until the monstrous Hulk appeared in Star City during a gathering of the rich and powerful in the mansion of Olliver Queen. Unknown to many, the superheroes were in attendance, figures such as Tony Stark, Clark Kent, and Reed Richards all there. Superman, Iron Man, the Flash, the Batman, Mr. Fantastic, the Thing, and Black Canary all worked together to put down the Hulk. In the aftermath of the colossal battle, many of the heroes were left questioning their purpose. In the melee, Olliver Queen's mansion had been annhiliated and the performing group The Flying Graysons had been killed, leaving only Dick Grayson behind, who was taken into the care of Bruce Wayne. Shortly following this event, a group of explorers in the Arcitc, working for Lex Luthor and Wilson Fisk's LuthorFisk Inc uncovered a shocking discovery. Frozen in the arctic wastes was the long thought dead Captain America, who was quickly reviatlized and brought up to speed on the new world he found himself in. As the world hailed the return of one of it's greatest champions, ominous portents began appearing.

On Asteroid M, Magneto was sent to another dimension, leaving the mutant nation of Genosha leaderless. In Star City, the Green Arrow fought a shadowy assassin named Kanto. Iron Man's armor, aided and enhanced by a Motherbox of New Genesis, gave Tony Stark warnings of impending doom and knowledge of a nightmare world called Apokolips. Finally, the watcher Uatu warned Reed Richards of the coming of a being known as Darkseid.
A day later, it began. With a boom, an invasion fleet unlike any other assaulted Earth. From Tokyo to Paris, LA to NYC, the ships came. At their head was the dread god Darkseid, immortal ruler of Apokolips and master of the Omega Effect, had come to Earth seeking conquest. Against his nigh-omnipotent might stood the assembled heroes of Earth. Even now the battle rages on in New York City, a great assemblage of heroes standing against Darkseid and his forces.

Ah..the danger of being the only girl in the RPG. :(

Addendum:

Catwoman emerged and robbed Bruce Wayne blind, while the new socialite Dinah Laural Lance 'wowed' them at the billionaire Oliver Queen's party.

 :p ;)

Before I let my anger get the better of me and delete all of my Darkseid posts, I will say this.

Sparta should not be a GM, and as long as he is, there will be problems.

To explain in detail, I would have to post PMs, but that will get me banned, a circumstance I would like to avoid. Suffice it to say, his last post destroys my character.

Whoa, back it up here. I shouldn't be a GM? I try to listen to people and work things out, but you only want your way. I got the Nullifier for a reason, and your just complaining because I wouldn't agree to have Reed give it to Darkseid because that would have been totally OC, and foolish of him.

And about the PM, I didn't say anything wrong at all. Your the one who threatened to kill Reed if I used the Nullifier, and all I said was "it's against the rules to kill someones character without their permission, I know this because i'm a GM" and I figured you would know it to, but you obviously don't for some reason...I thought it was common knowledge.

None the less, bottom line is, you have a problem with me being a GM, tough, i'm not going anywhere :) I tried working out alternative storylines with you, but unless it involved Reed giving you the Nullifier you didn't want to hear about it, so if your not willing to give a little, neither am I.

In response to your IC post Wieg, nobody on the ships were harmed.

I have one question:

Was this particular course of action decided on by all parties involved?

Because if not then I don't think it should stand, even if no one was killed, it stil breaches common courtesy.

We discussed different options, and LT wanted me to give the Nullifier to Darkseid, but I said that it would be OC for Reed to do something like that. Then we discussed another couple of options but nothing that would satisfy him, he wanted the Nullifier. Then I told him what I wanted to do (what eventually became my post) and he said I could go ahead and post it, but then threatened that if I did so, he would kill Reed using the Omega Effect or whatever it's called.

Honestly though, how many options are there to end this invasion? Why would I go through the trouble of getting the Nullifier if it wasn't going to be used?? I obviously planned on using it, and I thought everyone realized that when I mentioned it.

Your last post effectively destroys my character. He can quite literally do nothing now to prevent New Genesis taking over Apokolips and destroying the nature of the Fourth World. Your post precludes any other actions I can take with my character. You have, effectively, killed Darkseid. I hope at the least you're happy.

So before you go on your little power trip and congratualte yourself on a job well done, remember this. Everything I now do is because of what you have done.

Funny how you never mentioned any of this stuff earlier? Where is it all coming from now all of a sudden? You never told me anything about the 'Fourth World' or any of this stuff when we were discussing possible resolutions to this conflict. If you can suggest an alternative to my post, that doesn't involve Reed giving up the Nullifier, I will gladly consider editting. I just didn't see any other way of wrapping up the invasion...I couldn't keep the story held up anymore because everyone was waiting for my move to carry on the story, and everyone knows that I get in trouble if I don't post

Oh sssssaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnpppppppppp. Oh no he didn't.

The only time you 'get in trouble' for when you don't post is when you're gone for longer than a week and you don't let us know. :(

I thought we agreed to this.....:(

I know, I know, it was just a poor attempt for some comedic relief in light of the situation lol :o
