One Universe RPG: Season IV OOC Thread

So the premise of OU is that Marvel characters interact with DC? Interesting. However, I have some questions:

1. Do you use a character's comic history or create one of your own?
2. What is Frank Castle's history in here?
3. Are both the Avengers and the Justice Leauge active? How about the Young Avengers and Teen Titans?

If no one has played the character before, you write it yourself.

2. What is Frank Castle's history in here?

I don't know, actually.

3. Are both the Avengers and the Justice Leauge active? How about the Young Avengers and Teen Titans?

The Justice League is independent, while the Avengers are funded by SHIELD. The Avengers are President Lex Luthor's answer to the Justice League. No Young Avengers, but the Titans just formed not that long ago. They're linked to the JL.

Yea, at the time when I put them together, Spider-man and Robin were the only PC's, and at the time I didn't have a feasible way of getting Robin in, so we only got 4.

I actually wanted to talk to you to see who else we should get, because 5 is too low in my opinion.

Starfire would be good. I was going to have Kitty join with Robin since she's just sitting in Gotham doing nothing currently.

"One Universe" RPG SEASON IV SIGN-UP FORM

Screen Name: TrueMasterMind

Character you would like to play: Frank Castle

Powers: A former war veteran, Frank is an expert in marksmanship, martial arts, and piloting aircraft. Frank can lift twice his body weight as well and engages in a brutal regimen of calisthenics, katas and firing range practice daily, maintaining his combat skills as he does not drink alcohol or do drugs. Castle also uses a wide array of weapons to assist him in his adventures and frequently customizes his weapons for greater effectiveness with both standard and custom items including magnified optics, reflex sights, night vision scopes, flashlights, grenade launchers, sound and flash suppressors, bipods, high-capacity magazines and drums and various ammunition including hollow point or armor piercing bullets.


Brief biography of the character's history: While on leave during his time in the war, Frank Castle seeked a trip with his family to New York's historic Central Park. Witnessing a mob killing, his family was murdered by mobsters who feared witness to their felony. Surviving but deeply traumatized, never returned to his Marine duties and outfitted himself with assorted weapons and a battle suit displaying a large skull on the chest. Calling himself the Punisher, Castle waged a one-man anti-crime campaign throughout New York City. Making many enemies and few friends, Frank has truly made a name for himself and is starting to garner attention from the government...


List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: I have a plan to make Frank more of a national vigilante and I love dark, grimy characters. The Punisher fits the bill perfectly.

What can you bring to this game?: The most bad-ass mofo in both universes and a compelling story that I believe will be quite worthy of a read.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Bold Garamond when talking, italics when thinking

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: 1 at least

The diary of Frank Castle: Entry 1

"Life is a cycle of sick twists and devastating moments. We can't go back in time and fix our mistakes. All we can do is mumble about how ****ty stuff always happens to you and that you always get the short end of the stick. Well I say **** it. Do something about it. If your me, you'll get vengeance. And that means a jolly, good old fashioned shootout. But that's just me. That's just Frank Castle.

Ever since my family was gunned down at cold blood by a bunch of Mafia bastards, life has been hell. There's no purpose, no real reason to go on. But yet, I feel a need to eliminate the criminal organizations that have haunted this concrete jungle since its existence. They all must die, or I would feel like a terrible disappointment. I don't ask questions why I do it, I just do it. I don't care if I die, all I know is that I must banish villainy from New York City's ranks.

Using my skills from the war and the numerous guns in my possession, I bring fear to criminal's hearts. They hide in the shadows at the mention of my name. My name. I have adopted a new persona to go along with my activities. It fits what I do perfectly. I am the Punisher."
