Karem, there's a slight problem with your last Luthor post. Luthor and the world already know about the Avengers. In fact, when Luthor was sworn in at the beginning of the season, he revealed the Avengers as a government-funded team.

Yeah, sorry I sent a PM to you but looks like it didn´t get through, I´ll edit it right away.

Screen Name: Red_Robin77

Character you would like to play: Wally West (The Flash)

Powers: Wally has the power of superspeed and can vibrate his molecules through objects.

Brief biography of the character's history: As a child, Wally West was the Fastest Kid Alive, standing alongside his Uncle Barry as the Kid Flash. For many years the two worked together as a skillful team. But soon enough the two argued and Wally gave up being a hero. However, when his Uncle perished saving millions of people, only one man could take up the mantle. Wally.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: I'm a Flash Addict, and Wally is my favourite, as he's the one I've grown up with. He's fun, quick-witted and he just felt right compared to the others.

What can you bring to this game?: A large knowledge of the Flash, somebody who posts as much as he can and somebody who loves RPGs.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Bold Red Comic Sans MS for The Flash and Red Comic Sans MS for Wally

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as possible.

Please provide a sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 5 paragraphs long and contain at least 3 line of dialogue):

I'm a blur. Citizens stop and stare as their hero passes by for a split second before he's gone, to protect their City. His City. I am that Hero. Before I was never ready but now...it feels right. I feel like now, I really am The Flash.

A 30 seconds ago a bullet was fired in the local bank. 15 seconds later I hear the screaming people and I finally get somebody to explain to me what's going on. Now I'm sprinting off to the bank hoping that nobody's died in the time it's taken for me to learn of the shot. I haven't been this slow in months.

I skid to a halt outside the bank before gathering my surroundings. No wounded. No dead. Must have been a warning shot. Police perimter with news reporters on the otherside. In front of my are the familiar rotating doors. Behind them I can make out the figures of large men. This'll be too easy.

I pelt through one of the rotating doors, making it spin for minutes afterwards as I stand at the front of the room, by the glassed off cashiers.

"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, I'm The Flash and I'll be your host for this evening!"

"I told you guys..." one of them mutters.

"Shut up!" another says angrily. He seems to be the leader by the way the others look at him.

The bank robbers swing around, pistols at the ready. Six of them. No doubt more somewhere else in the bank. I wave towards the criminals friendily. They fire rapidly towards me, sending bullets hurtling towards me. They try so hard, you start to feel sorry for them. I grab each bullet quickly and before you know it I've got a pile of bullets in my hand.

"So, bullets don't work against the guy with superspeed. Shocker, huh? Let's get this over with..."

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?:

Everything looks to be in order.

Approved!

Just letting y'all know that I've lost internet connection for a few days. Hopefully I'll be reposting by the beginning of next week.

So, anyone able to give a me a rundown on the OU cosmos?

"One Universe" RPG SEASON IV SIGN-UP FORM
Screen name: Harlekin
Character: Adam Strange
Powers and abilities: None yet, although he'll obviously end up with the standard ray gun and spacesuit later.

Brief biography of the character's history: None yet. Adam Strange is just your usual adventerous archaeologist.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: I want to get into this here game and Adam Strange seems like the perfect hero to do it with. He's like a cosmic MacGuyver.

What can you bring to this game?: Zilch.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Just the color dark orange.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many times as I please.

Please provide a sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 5 paragraphs long and contain at least 3 line of dialogue):

IN: A ONE WAY TICKET TO RANN, PLEASE!

“Over here, Mr. Strange, over here!” the man called out and Adam Strange quickly made his way over to his guide. The man held a map in his hand and tapped his finger on a spot which Strange had marked ‘El Dorado’. The guide excitedly pointed to the thick Amazonian forest, through which the two caught a glimpse of what was sure to be a temple.

“Over there, that must be it!” the young Peruvian enthusiastically said and he looked to his employer for approval. But Adam Strange did not respond, merely gazing out towards the forest. Finally, just before his guide started to think the archaeologist might suffer from sunstroke, Adam Strange laughed heartily and slapped his guide on the shoulder.

“Come on!” the archaeologist said, gripping the handle of his large blade and stepping forward fiercely, into the dark Amazon jungle. The guide scrambled to pack his things, haphazardly throwing his bottle of water and compass into his bag. With the same determination as his employer, he took his blade and set out to go into the jungle.

<FJUNG!>

The guide didn’t even realise what had happened to him until he saw the tip of the arrow protruding from his chest. He was able to mumble a few words in his native language before his knees buckled. Seconds later, he lay on the ground, dead.

Naturally, Adam Strange, whose body was built more akin to an athlete than your typical archaeology professor, was unable to hear his guide take his final breath, having travelled to far into the dense jungle already. Of course, Strange’s excitement at finding the lost city of gold was enough of its own to cloud his senses.

However, after a few minutes he did turn around, noticing that his friend was not walking behind him. The hairs in the back of his neck rose as Strange asked: “Gian?”

<TWANG!>

Rather than hearing the reassuring reply of his comrade, Adam Strange heard what was sure to be a foreign curse word and an arrow embedding itself into the tree next to him. Immediately, Strange crouched down and shifted on his feet, circling around and attempting to locate his attacker.

<FJUNG!>

Another arrow narrowly missed his head and the archaeologist fell back, more than a little stunned by what was happening. Arguing his chances of survival were better if he fled, Adam Strange jumped to his feet and into the thrush of plants and trees before him. He nearly slipped as he tried to get away as quickly as possible, slashing wildly with his blade.

Either through luck or skill, Adam managed to evade the next five arrows launched at him.

As he moved further, the sound of water running – of a river in fact – started to reach Strange’s ear. But in his fear, the young man paid these sounds no attention, trying to run wherever the vegetation gave him the chance. Along the way, he lost all his items but his blade, which he still swung before him without any sense of direction.

The sound of the water grew stronger.

An arrow scraped the side of Adam’s shoulder, leaving a nasty slice, and the archaeologist stumbled in pain. Seeing as he was confused, tired and hurting, it was not surprising when Strange missed one tree’s roots just above the surface. The archaeologist tripped and fell, although he quickly realised that this was more a blessing than a curse?

Adam Strange lay on a small heightened patch of ground. Had Strange taken a few steps further, he would’ve lost his footing, for there was no more ground, and fallen into the river that coursed there. The young man even grinned momentarily, thinking upon his good fortune.

But then, he could hear the arrival of three men. His attackers, whom had kept themselves hidden throughout the ordeal, now revealed themselves. They were large, fierce-looking men, dressed in ceremonial garb, carrying bows and spears. Had Strange been clear-headed at that time, he would’ve recognised them for what they were: Incan warriors.

The archaeologist turned towards them, raising his hands to shield his face.

They snarled.

Flashes of the past ran themselves before Adam’s eyes.

Death was coming.

“I’m ready,” Adam mouthed, but had he not actually closed his eyes at that second, he would’ve noticed a strange glow coming over him. Death would have to wait a little longer. Of course, had Adam kept his eyes open, he would’ve known this also noticed then that he was in fact no longer on Earth.

Instead, an otherworldly roar compelled Adam Strange to open his eyes.

And what greeted him were not the three Incan warriors or his home planet, but the planet Rann, although at that time he did not yet possess that knowledge. And there was someone, or rather, something, there to greet him.

Adam Strange looked up to see three eyes, a purple hide, a set of gleaming teeth and four arms (two legs) on a body that was three times the size of a normal human and thus, triple his own.

“Oh.”

Do you know how to post pictures on the Hype! boards?: Not a clue.

Nice choice. I used Adam in a Surfer arc of mine in which Norrin helped Rann fend off a Kree invasion. Basically, the Kree wanted the Zeta-Beam tech to use to transport their troops across the cosmos. So, Norrin teamed up with Adam, after convincing him of his good intentions, and they defeated Ronin the Accuser and forced the Kree fleet to retreat.

If you're interested, here's the arc...

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

Part 6

Ah, so he's established already? Darn. I kind of figured nobody would've used him since he's not that well-known. While I dig what you did with him, I'm going to see what else I can come up with for a character.

Right on. Best of luck finding the perfect fit.

There's always room for more X-Men by the way. :cwink:

I'm trying to go for the more independent adventurer type.

That arc was good stuff by the way.

Thanks, man. I appreciate it.

I know, for the most part, the OU's cosmic and mystical side have a lot of good characters that haven't been used yet.

Okay, let's try this again.

"One Universe" RPG SEASON IV SIGN-UP FORM
Screen name:
Harlekin
Character: The Bulleteer (Alix Harrower)
Powers and abilities: A metallic alloy, dubbed 'smartskin' gives Alix Harrower indestructible skin and superhuman strength.

Brief biography of the character's history:

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character:
- As I implied earlier, I'd like a non-established character. If someone has actually thought of including the Bulleteer in a post, then hey, hats off and back to the drawing board.
- I'm using the Bulleteer to get back into writing amusing - but most notably zany - adventures where I can just have fun. It's your 'typical' superhero story.
- Okay, I used the word 'typical', but the Bulleteer is far from typical and that's exactly what makes her an interesting character to use.

What can you bring to this game?: Not much, truthfully.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: "To the Bullet-cave!". The font is Trebuchet MS, the color's sky blue.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY in the RPG: You know my motto is 'no promises'. So: can't say.

Sample post:
THE BULLETEER IN: BALLISTICS REPORT

"Could you dress up like Sue Storm?"
"What... like the Invisible Woman?"

Alix Harrower recoiled from her husband's touch. Sighing, she shifted back to her side of the bed, turning her face away from her lover. In an attempt at reconciliation, he carefully placed his hand on her bare shoulder, whispering words that were meant to be of comfort and then slowly hitting the hand slide down along her side to her hips.

Alix turned back, annoyed.

"No, Lance," she said forcefully as she removed his hand.
"Oh, c'mon baby, it'd be cool," he whined in reply.
"Honey, why can't this be enough, huh?" Alix responded, exasperated. They'd had this conversation before. To prove her point, she lifted the bed cover, revealing her toned and curvaceous body. But a gorgeous woman, his wife, laying next to him in bed, it was just not enough for scientist Lance Harrower.
"I just think it would spice things up." He stole a glance at the two costumes he had made himself for the two of them, hung up on the closet doors: both uniforms had tight white pants with red linings, red boots, red gloves, goggles and an odd cone-shaped helmet. In Lance's superhero fantasy, he wore a red shirt - 'that color just pops out', he'd said, although Alix figured he was thinking of other things when he'd designed the strapless tight top for her.
"Hon, we've been over this. The superhero thing..."
It was his turn to sigh. "But we'd be famous! And with my smartskin, eternally young too!"
Alix raised an eyebrow and silently lifted the cover again. But Lance was obviously not convinced and his face showed his trepidation. Angrily, Alix threw down the cover and turned away from her husband again. Lance, smartly so, decided to give up.

But while his wife at least attempted to sleep, Lance's eyes stayed on the two costumes at the other end of the room.

The Bulleteer, yes, he'd be a superhero.

And so, when Lance Harrower did finally fall asleep, he did so with a smile on his face.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's no possible way anyone has used her before. :oldrazz:

Guys, I'm real sorry about this, but when I applied I thought I'd have more time and right now I just don't. I'm struggling to keep up with the DC RPG as is and the new Transformers RPG will probably be a challenge to do as well. I've got too much stuff going on in my personal life with family and other obligations I'm responsible for. I've gotta drop Tony, and I'm sure many of you already talked about this happening. Sorry, but if I try to keep up with this in a multi-character arc I'll wind up holding it up (as I already have) and I hate when others do that, so again, I apologize. I hope it works out and if Tony is there when I'm done what I've gotta do maybe I'll try it again.

Wish you all well.

Cats, was the origin story Kl'rt gave the Lanterns so boring that John dosed off and now has to hear it all over again? :cmad:

black people....

[Broken record] I'd recommend not picking up a symbiote as your first character. You're bound to do some irrevocable, stupid stuff with them. The choice is yours, of course.[/Broken record]

Edit: As a side note, I believe things are in the works regarding Carnage, so the players who have vested interests in him might appreciate it if you let him be.

I can tell you right now EB doesn't want Carnage at this point in time.

I have plans for Carnage for later in the season that I have yet to disclose to the people who it would actually affect.:ninja:

There's that. Point A.

Point B. I literally just got done fighting Venom. Let's space it out a bit, people.

EDIT: I've decided to drop Reed. I want - no, need - to focus on Spidey and Supes.

Yea, I've been waiting for an active Superman this whole season.

As for Carnage, I'll be PMing you what I've been thinking about sometime this week. Don't worry though, the arc idea I have wont be until waaaayyyy later in the season.

You're on the top of my To-Do List once the League meeting is over. And I'm not too worried about you with Carnage. Judging by your name, I'd assume that you're going to put a lot of time into this.
