All the people who made such efforts to say Apocalypse looks like lame characters and people spending so much time arguing and Photoshopping and whatnot, nobody even grasped at the straw that he genuinely resembles.

Particularly here

Angel in the back looking badass.

One of the large complaints was the lips, which are much more apparent in the trailer than in the released pictures.

I think it's more annoying when they think the small amount of online complaints is what changed his look in motion.

It's not "small amount of online complaints."

But you're right this was how film Apocalypse was always intended. Singer was never one to change things based on fan reaction.

I think i like movie Apocalypse look more than comics.

It looks like something mutan/alien yet with very middle eastern ancient vibe. Actors face helps too probably. I was expecting a mightier creepy voice though.

Apocalypse will make Thanos children stuff.

I love how Storm is always moving around. She's never just standing still. Making subtle movements here and there.

She's got an Akasha vibe going on and I don't mean that in a bad way.

I think they could have made his voice deeper and more sinister, other than that everything else about him looks solid.

So we've seen Storm and Magneto as M&M's. Here's Apocalypse.:oldrazz:

Hated his look originally, he looks awesome in the trailer. Love it now.

Have to agree with you. I totally thought that myself while watching the trailer. I remember getting the Entertainment Weekly magazine and him being on the cover was like what people were saying: Ivan Ooze. But yea, in the trailer, he's blue-gray and menacing. People were expecting a deep voice, but I think it's fitting. It's a charming, charismatic voice. Seductive (in a non-sexual way, calm down). Heh.

I will say that I do worry about his character. I see the curse of three in this one that happens to most comic book movies. Some have broken it, like Dark Knight Rises, but this one worries me. X3 dropped the series off a cliff. This'll be the third of the revamp and it stinks of Blade: Trinity, the worst of its three. An ancient one of their kind, the very first no less (Selene doesn't exist in this universe I guess ;) ), and he's here to destroy and wreak havoc. I just worry. They screwed up Dracula...er, Drake, but I have concerns over En Sabah Nur.

His voice sounds like average guy who wants to be dictator, not enough for Apocalypse.

Well, you can easily see that he looks different in the trailer and on the poster... But maybe they'll fix his color and features in post-pro.
This!

Because he was sleeping since biblical times.
WAT?
I thought he needs about 200 years for sleep, not more.
He's talking about different civilizations, can't sleep all this time.
So he didn't create Exodus and Mr.Sinister? meh...

I don't know if it'll be like that in movie universe.

The voice complaints seem based mostly on him not sounding like the cartoon voice, which while great is quite campy. I actually like Isaac's choice. This s a great actor, do not hide his voice just because audiences expect something with more bass. Subversion can be a good thing.

He sounds like a guy who's very good a manipulation/persuasion. And since both Singer and Oscar Isaac have compared him to a cult leader, and stated that his greatest power is his ability to talk people into following him, it fits.

Plus I'm betting that those are lines from his "recruitment process." He's not trying to sound menacing, because he wants these people on his side, not scared of him. And then, near the end when he's giving his big speech, his voice is now much deeper and more bombastic. Because it's a different situation.

At least he does not use an American accent like Thanos. Thanos voice is better though for now.

Ultron had one of the best cbm baddie voices, not even his lame one liners could ruin that voice for me.

What's wrong with using an American accent? Where does it say a galactic tyrant must have a posh English accent?

I'd prefer oh... I don't know. .. another language!

Ian McKellen slays any other bad guy voice in com by far.

Nothing wrong at all. Its just a personal preference. I just prefer baddies like Apocalypse, Thanos, Darkseid, Doom, Loki and Zod not having an American accent.
