Apocalypse Oscar Isaac IS Apocalypse - Part 2

Still not talking about, what I'm talking about.
I didn't wrote people will skip, so where did you get this quotation mark ?
I'm talking about hype, it's not high enough, and fans are disappointed because of Apo size.
This leads to low rating for this movie.
This movie at start is worse than X2. We can only hope, this can be good as DOFP.

Ummm I'm a fan and I'm not disappointed with Apo's size.

And low rating??? Critics aren't gonna review the film based on Apocalypse's size. What are you talking about?

And May I remind, Wolverine is a small guy in the comics but a 6 foot something guy in the movies and now Hugh Jackman is a superstar for playing Wolverine.

Is it set in stone or can they push back the release date? How many years will it take Oscar to grow tall enough for the film to be enjoyable? At the same time you don't want to leave it too long and then one of the other actors grows too tall for their role!

I don't think they will push it back. And Oscar is like in his 30s, he won't grow anymore.

I think that was sarcasm. And a response to the most whiny fanboy lunacy ever: "Oscar Isaac is too short, the Apocalypse is ruined!" (I know the poster in question didn't use the word "ruined" but he all but implied it).

Go watch Ex Machina and A Most Violent Year, and then come back and whine about Apocalypse being too short. Isaac is going to elevate and kill whatever is offered him, the only ceiling on his talent is how much he is limited by the writing and direction. But complaining about the casting is like those who whined about Michael Keaton being too short to play Batman so many decades ago. Nothing really changes.

Oscar no-gro?!! Then all hope is lost!!! :csad:

* Unless he can be de-aged back to puberty so that he can have a 2nd growth spurt?

It's risky if they did it with the whole cast as we could end up with a league of giants, plus Apocalypse would still look short even at 8 feet tall if Jubilee and Kurt had grown to 9 feet tall. It's all relative.

That poster is obsessed with height lol. I saw the exact same discussion for previous heroes and villains. Oscar has so much more presence than the average actor even when he is given almost nothing to do (like in TFA). I can't wait to see what he does here and I think he'd be much more intimidating than a less accomplished bigger guy.

In the new promotion, Apocalypse is actually as big as a room.

I'm going to buy you one of thes psylockolusdus.

No thank you.

And that thing is not out in stores.:bb8:
It's in the national interest that you are provided with one, I insist! :woot: And I'll throw in a life-size X-M:A Pyslocke doll. :yay:

Just the standee we don't have the budget for the anatomically correct Psylocke and it's not for the reason psylockolussus would use it anyway.

And btw

This no hype due to height (lack of)/deep voice (lack of) discussion seems TiVo worthy! ;)

Having seen that which cannot be shared, I just don't understand those that want him to be pupil-less the entire time. I just don't like that look.

and that is your right
I don't like the pupils, cuz he looks less apocalypse-y to me with them

There will be a lot more hype tomorrow, if the trailer delivers. The first one was scrambled from few weeks of material and some unfinished effects shots. We should be getting something much better.

Sorry, but not happened. Unfortunately effects aren't better, and trailer doesn't make bigger hype.
A lot of effects, instead of story.

I preferred not to have Oscar's voice modulated since I thought he did a fine job, but they added the right amount of effects where you can still distinctly recognize his voice, but at the same time get the techno-organic pharaoh vibe the film is going for.

So we see him as human form in the trailer before he gets his final form including armor
and in DOFP's credit end he appears with blue skin as young Sabah Nur
WTF

hahahahahahahah

LOVE Apoc more the more I see of him, my favourite comics villain ever just looks awesome. Love how they modulated his voice in the subtlest of ways, so excited!

It could be explained that what we saw at the end was inbetween his human and final look since he looked like a teenager.

They already mentioned that Apocalypse possesses other beings bodies, so it could just simply be a host body he's in before they possess the body he's in now permanently.

So based on the Trailer Apocalypse absorbs mutations to gain more power similar to how he did in X-men Evolution .

No we don't see him in human form in this scene.
It's another mutant body, new host for Apocalypse.
Apocalypse in this scene is laying near character played by Oscar.
Next he transfer to this body.

I got the idea that the human version of Oscar Isaac is NOT apocalypse at the start, but of a man who's body is used for transferring Apocalypse' soul/spirit which is currently in the second body next to human Isaac. During that process the body turns blue/grey. I'm pretty Singer said Apocalypse has been in many life forms and I assume all of them have been blue... That's why the guy moving the pyramids is just one of Apocalypse's past bodies...

What have they done to his beautiful voice :csad:
