I got the idea that the human version of Oscar Isaac is NOT apocalypse at the start, but of a man who's body is used for transferring Apocalypse' soul/spirit which is currently in the second body next to human Isaac. During that process the body turns blue/grey. I'm pretty Singer said Apocalypse has been in many life forms and I assume all of them have been blue... That's why the guy moving the pyramids is just one of Apocalypse's past bodies...

Yeah but I'm only assuming..

Blue body from DOFP is one of the bodies used, then he needs another body so changes time and time again, and then we get to Oscar Issac's body which he uses and he gets trapped in... so every time he goes into a new body I assume the body changes blue/lips etc... but this is only going by what we see in the trailer and what writers and directors have said and to make sense with why he's blue in dofp.

Yeah, at the end he does sound like the 90s cartoon version. I am still so confused on his power set in this universe though. Writers to this day still are confused as to what the **** his actual abilities are limit wise.

I'm enjoying the shots we get of Apocalypse in the new trailer. I can tell the filmmakers have put a lot of effort into writing him and portraying him.

I thought it will be deep same as in TAS, but sounds like demon from horror movie, for example 'Evil Dead'.

To me he looks more and more spot on as the movie gets closer. So excited to see my favourite villain brought to life finally!

Yeah the "Ivan Ooze" crowd seemed to have crawled back under their rock to lick their wounds, lol, they all look a bit silly now just like the Quicksilver doubters before DOFP.

Yes, funny isn't it? I will be honest I wasn't thrilled with the first pictures released and I said as much. But I said I would wait for the finished product before judging completely, as I always tend to do with characters looks. But there were even people calling his characterisation wrong. They seem to have disappeared also.

I had faith he would be done right and as we get closer he just looks better and better.

Nope, and it's funny how fans of movies from other studios can let them off for changes to the look/source but not Fox. Since 2009 Fox have shown how well they can handle this franchise yet people still have a go at them.

Anyway, not trying to start a flame war before anyone starts, but when it comes to characterisation and looks/costume. How about we wait for the final product before judging?

Yeah all studios have failures includig Disney with its Pirates of the Caribbean movies and Maleficent regardless of the money they earned at the box-office. I just don't get how Fox is continued to be the bad guy just because they don't copy/paste costumes from the comic-books and make their every CBM perfect... especially when there are other studio like WB (who produced Catwoman, Green Lantern, Jonah Hex), Sony (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Pixels) and Paramount (Terminator Genisys, G.I. Joe, Avatar, Transformers) with a bigger bad track record.

I like the fact we'll see Oscar Isaac's real face in this. I thought he'd be covered in blue all the time. Also, I don't know why, but I'm wondering what kind of bloopers we'll get this time, given that McAvoy and Fassbender had some of the most immature bloopers ever last time. I guess I can see these three throwing spitballs at each other, idk.

So whats his original body ?
But I did think Apo in his armor got Oscar's body in the trailer
reality is Oscar is the host of Apo and the armor was empty ?

This is fusion, like in "Twelve saga" when he merged with Cyclops

I still don't like his look, personally
but the Ivan Ooze and INO s**t definitely got overplayed

you could always see the elements that were harking back to the comic designs
I may not care for the execution of the look, but to say it looked more power ranger villain than apocalypse was definitely a bridge too far
