I want this superman to be very approachable.
Like, if you saw him, you wouldn't be afraid to approach him like he was a movie star or rock star.

Snyder/cavill's superman felt like Zeus come to earth, ie, Away from me puny mortals.

What amazes me is that I guarantee you that all of these people s***-talking Corenswet have never even seen him act. Because if they had, they’d know that he’s more charismatic and charming than Cavill. And remember, I actually like Cavill (at least in The Witcher) but I can say with confidence than Corenswet’s energy and charisma is a much better fit for Superman than Cavill’s more gruff and brooding persona.

I had to unfollow this (very talented) cosplayer on Instagram recently when she outed herself as a member of the Snyder Cult. She made this absurd post about how she won’t even talk about the new DCU because it’s “too toxic” and all she wants to do is watch Rebel Moon. Yeah, okay. LOL.

I feel no need to pit the two against each other or any other actor who's played the role. I loved Cavill in the role despite how the character was written and wished he could've been given the chance to portray Superman how he always wanted to, but he was never going to own the role forever. I've never been the type to be stuck on one actor/actress for any role (especially comic book characters), no matter how much I may have enjoyed him or her.

I very much look forward to seeing what Mr. Corenswet and Gunn bring to Superman and I have good feeling about it.

I know there are at least a few people as desperate as me for these crumbs.

And I also know everyone's expecting us to be fed as soon as they start shooting in just over a month now, but honestly, I have serious doubts there. Would not surprise me in the slightest if we got radio silence on the shooting for quite some time while they work on sound stages. So we gotta take what we can get!

That might be part of it, but I suspect maybe they've promised his first exclusive about the role to a major publication, for a cover story or something.

I wasn't planning on seeing "Twisters", but I might find it interesting to see the before and after of DC on film. He is obviously much larger physically now than when this first started filming, it might be fun to see if I can tell the difference in the shots from last year and now. Don't care about the story, just want to see if and how they hide the difference of his physique

I have a feeling he's only in a few scenes, which they likely re-shot post-strikes, so I doubt you'll see any difference there.

Just looked up David’s wiki and he also has a musical coming out called The Greatest Hits with his lovely Politician costar Lucy Boynton, as well as Justin H. Min from Umbrella Academy. It will be interesting to see if he sings in it (and how his voice is).

He is a total troll and this pleases greatly.

Saw those earlier, the hairstyle is exactly what I'd like to see Corenswet sport in Legacy, if they are actually fake they're very well done.

I saw Gunn did deny that there was any leaked images that had surfaced online, but he did also say he screen-tested in a suit from a previous incarnation. I'm sure eventually as with the other Superman films the real screen test images/footage will eventually surface for a Blu-Ray extra. There is at least 1 version of Cavill's suits that is floating around that was tailored for someone in Corenswet's height range as I'm pretty sure the person who made the cameo in Shazam is in that 6'3 ballpark.

I'd love for them to be real though as the hairstyle was near perfect.

They’re definitely fake. The AI that was used messed up the hairlines in some of them, plus David was thinner back when he screentested. That would be especially noticeable with his neck. It’s no coincidence that those pics came out right after Gunn confirmed he screentested in the previous suit. Just like it was no coincidence that someone made one of him with Gunn right after Gunn said the only pic of David in that suit is one on his phone of the two of them side-by-side.

Oh man... I could not disagree more. Maybe we are talking about different photos here, but the hair being horrible was the first thing I took away from that fake leaked photo. It is like Superman used his super speed to collect all the hair gel in Metropolis and used it all at once.

Yeah while I’m not a stickler for the hair, I will say it would be very nice to have a Supes without gelled up hair for once. I like the wind-blown, free-flowing locks of the comics best, that they just never wanna do in live-action for some reason. With David’s hair, as we’ve seen in other roles, the curl can be a natural thing that happens when he’s been active. No need to force it with hair gel. He has arguably the best hair for it of any Supes actor thus far. Use it!

IMO Cavill's best Superman hair was when he was out in the world, not filming Superman

I feel like his hair should look like a style that is believably achievable without so much effort. Something that he can actually run his hand through. I dislike these styles that are wet/greasy and so perfectly parted, as if Superman ran to the bathroom with a curling iron and a hair parting tool for a perfectly straight line, and hairsprayed a perfect quaff.

There is a scene in Superman Returns where he is flying over the water and his hair is blowing in the wind and he realizes he has to turn around and fly back to Metropolis, he comes to a stop and it is just weird that his hair is just so unrealistically perfect.
