Our "Space Princess": David Corenswet IS Clark Kent/Superman!

Yeah while I’m not a stickler for the hair, I will say it would be very nice to have a Supes without gelled up hair for once. I like the wind-blown, free-flowing locks of the comics best, that they just never wanna do in live-action for some reason. With David’s hair, as we’ve seen in other roles, the curl can be a natural thing that happens when he’s been active. No need to force it with hair gel. He has arguably the best hair for it of any Supes actor thus far. Use it!

I've always thought it should be the opposite way around, if even at all, that Clark should have a well combed look & Superman should still look relatively neat but at the same time like it could have conceivably fell naturally.

IMO Cavill's best Superman hair was when he was out in the world, not filming Superman

I feel like his hair should look like a style that is believably achievable without so much effort. Something that he can actually run his hand through. I dislike these styles that are wet/greasy and so perfectly parted, as if Superman ran to the bathroom with a curling iron and a hair parting tool for a perfectly straight line, and hairsprayed a perfect quaff.

There is a scene in Superman Returns where he is flying over the water and his hair is blowing in the wind and he realizes he has to turn around and fly back to Metropolis, he comes to a stop and it is just weird that his hair is just so unrealistically perfect.

It wouldn't have taken much to improve on the gelled look Snyder went with for Cavill's Superman, but this definitely would have been much better & in-line with what I hope Gunn does with Corenswet's hairstyle for the character.

Cavill's hair in BvS looks like it is sopping wet after being frantically licked by a very large dog.

It is kind of weird that this is the hill i've chosen to die on. Hair...

I'd prefer the fleischer colors for the \S/ but if not, oh well.
I'd prefer a lighter blue over a darker blue for the suit, but if not, oh well.
I'd prefer trunks, but if not, oh well.
I'd prefer the golden S on the cape, but if not... maybe a little more disappointment.

but the hair... that seems to be the thing i care about.

As others have stated, in mos, clark had the superman hair, and superman had the clark hair.
Imo, superman needs the wind blown, let at all hang out, look for his hair. Let clark have the slick backed, parted, or greasy look.

I really hope we get both a Clark and Superman without the extreme hair product. The super slicked hair is not believable for either of them this day and age. Yes, there are some people who wear slicked hair these days, but they are the Roman Roy types, not Clark Kent style down to Earth journalists. In my mind, Superman should have naturally windblown hair. Give him a shave and this is perfect Superman hair:

In contrast, Clark should have bangs parted on the opposite side like the Clark disguise in both Birthright and Morrison's run on Action Comics:

I feel like Clark should just look frumpy. A super casually dressed investigative reporter in comfy baggy clothes and sloppy almost bedhead-esque hair.

Basically, Clark should dress and have body language similar to one of the guys from Spotlight:

Comfy, frumpy business casual clothes for sitting at a desk all day going through documents. With a slouched head forward posture, lots of arm crossing like Ruffalo here to make him look smaller and less imposing.

People question the effectiveness of the glasses as a disguise, but noone doubts the fedora.

No one.

This was the exact photo I was going to use when giving an example of what I was hoping for.

An interesting set of panels. It may represent a textbook example of “lampshade hanging”: the author pre-emptively calls attention to something problematic or implausible — thus undercutting the reader/audience’s impulse to make the same criticism. But in this case, I don’t think it quite works. Better, IMO, to not waste exposition on something that can’t really be satisfactorily explained. The glasses disguise is what it is. Just go with it.

Fedoras in 2024 are often seen as something uniquely fashionable, you do see the occasional person wearing one in the real world but I wouldn't call them common. I'd love to see Clark Kent reclaim his, but in this day & age it would probably do the opposite of helping him blend in.

How hip are the reporters in 2024? That's the question.

Fedoras kind of have a connotation with a certain kind of online guy which is unfortunate. But yeah, Clark reclaiming it would be ace

I kinda doubt David’s role in Twisters is big enough for him to show up in a Super Bowl spot, but I guess ya never know.

Didn't realise it's the director of Minari. It could possibly be not bad, curious about David's role.

Funny enough there are a few names in the film that I have seen suggested for other roles in the in the films so will be interesting to see how well they work together.

In a movie like twisters, the star will be the tornadoes or possibly one of the internet favorites to be the DCU Batman, Glen Powell.

Jensen Ackles would be my choice to play batman in B&TB

I find Ackles a good guy and he very pleasantly surprised me in The Boys, but I think him as Batman would sour every Batman appearance we get in the DCU.

Crazy to think in a little over the month, this will be filming. Still really curious about the villain, Brainiac has been long rumoured but part of me says we may just stick to Luthor and The Authority and that the film will try to approach moral dilemmas instead of an outright Good Vs Evil.

SXSW is in March so I doubt David will be attending the premiere. I think he’s got something else going on then, can’t remember what. :o
