Our "Space Princess": David Corenswet IS Clark Kent/Superman!

I'll give Corenswet this; it helps tremendously to see manips of him in a Superman suit that isn't either a variant of Cavill's or his head literally photoshopped over Cavill's body.

This? This works for me. Also it helps because I am admittedly VERY much in favor of this film's Superman suit being based on the Fleischer design.
Love the costume, but that body is too short (as is Cavill's, even more so). It's like people don't realize if Corenswet bulked up, his build would be more like Jackman or Hemsworth's. His body type is similar to both of theirs before their superhero eras - tall and lanky but athletic. That makes for a much more imposing screen stature when they build some mass.

So... more like this then? At least in terms of having a broader chest and shoulders, since this picture's obviously only a bust manip?

I've got nothing but love for Fleischer-- was literally my introduction to the character and superheroes in general, way back when I was like three or four years old in the early 90's. Adore it. But... Hoechlin's Supes already utilises that look as his first suit. And in the show it looks better than his regular one, IMO.

For this next round, I'm really excited about the possibility of getting some Morrison t-shirt and jeans action. Something wildly unique to this iteration, something a little more rough and ready, and honestly it's something that feels like Gunn might gravitate toward.

ODDLY PICKY ALERT-- I always thought Cavill's arms specifically were too... short.
Oh god so I'm not the only one who sees it! :funny:

I remember many people saying he looked more like Wolverine when his first onset pics popped up.

His regular suit is just a long sleeve tee with a pattern and shield on it. :o

The jeans and T-shirt works well for short periods, like the Spiderman's improvised costumes. Probably not good for the whole movie.

I specifically hope we don't get the t-shirt jeans costume for the whole movie juts to tease us in the last scene or the after credit scene with the regular suit. :cmad::cmad:

I stand by what I said.

Half the time, Corenswet just looks like Henry Cavill's younger brother who seems to have a close enough resemblance to the previous actor in the role that fans circle around him for a part because he's a "safe" replacement.

Fair enough. The only option then is Elon Musk Dimple Guy who hasn’t been in anything in two years.

The CorenSupes bodybuilder mania looks better than most of the other actors listed on this site.

Leo Suter is my second choice, but I hope that Spencer House get a serious look from the producers, et al for this movie. He is in Space Force, and utterly forgettable show, but he was very good. He was a Alabama farm boy, and came off as genial, charming in that country boy way, grounded, not a tool, kind, and centered. His Clark could be mild mannered, and not a buffoon, smart, yet silent, resilient, well read, quiet, a listener, good at his job while charming Lois with his farm boy ways. Not too sure of his Superman, will have to see more of his work. I hope he at least get a look at by TPTB

It looks like:

David Corenswet
Jacob Elordi

Looks straight out of the comics to me. Loose hair for Supes and slightly slicked hair for Clark.

He is five 8. They would need to spend 20 million of the budget trying to make him not the shortest person on the set, poof profits gone.

I mean, I'm hardly a member of the height police, but that dude is a self-described "hobbit." Movie magic can only do so much lol.
Gee what world do we live in when 5"8 is considered Hobbit? He is pretty much the male average height.

5'8" is his "official" height. Which means he's almost definitely shorter. :funny: The further below 6' an actor is, the more egregiously they lie about their height. That's how the game goes lol.

And again, "hobbit" is literally the word he used to describe his own height.

So he is 1.73 and Brad Pitt is 1.8 yet I never hear anyone talking about Brads height or it being an issue. Considering its a young Supes, use some movie magic like they do allll the time, I'm sure it would be less of a problem then what a lot of other suggestions have.
